I think its gonna get slower, more housy... Tec House is getting more popular and house in general is making a comeback... Just listening to a lot of the big DJ sets recently and well to be honest that big analogue sound which is still creeping around is dead, only very few tracks can make it work anymore because its quite simply a boring sound. The sound certainly was not boring the first year or 2 but producers over used it... Myself I am trying the past few months to come up with a new sound which will be the next big thing since the big analogue main synth riff sound, maybe ill achieve it, maybe i wont....
Tracks like System F - Needlejuice really were not inspired by the big analogue sounds, and in my very personal opinion, there has been no track released since Needlejuice that was better than it or even as good... Another track which kinda referred away from the usual sound was Punk! by ferry corsten... I think Ferry has the right idea with many of his productions, I find his productions more original than most when he puts the effort in with titles such as Punk!, Needlejuice, Midway - Monkey Forest etc.... The more people try to take the road Ferry has the beter .. I dont mean copy him, what I mean is to try somethign new and not go for the regular usual sounds...
I might have remixed Scott Bond - Naked angel, but to be honest that track was terrible... even when remixing it i was bored, the melodies were uninspiring and the vocal was nice but ive heard it all before to be brutally honest. The people who love this track probably have not been into the scene as long and therefore are less familiar with the waaay overused sounds... Im not caning scott bond but im just using this particular track as an example!...
So all in all I think the music needs to go in another direction... a direction which was went by System F - Needlejuice and some of Ferrys other work!

System F - Needlejuice is one of my favourite tracks. As for direction, im not really sure what way it will head. Not a lot of places for it to go now I dont think. Just more specific genres for out of the ordinary tunes. I see now that "hardstyle" is a new type of style. a mix of "hardcore" and "hard dance".
Corstens new 'electro trance' style, its ok but nothing to inspiring. I dont think its a case of inventing more categories to put stuff into with new tunes coming through but a more quality of tunes to put in the styles here.
Swings and roundabouts, one's popukar at the minite, then another etc.

I never liked Needlejuice, just not a good track in my opinion. BTW, on Ferry's Global Transmissions 1 CD, the track right after Needlejuice, Soundcheque - Minddrive has a similar sound and was also co-produced by Ferry.
