Post Post subject: Radio edits. Reply with quote

Hey guys. Sorry for the OT but I had to get this out of my system.
Who else thinks radio edits of trance songs should die?!! I just heard PVD - Time Of Our Lives shredded into a compact 3 minute pale imitation and wanted to cry.
You can delete this admins, if it is super annoying, and I promise not to do this again.

yes, radio edits should die... but if there are 8 minutes long songs in the radio, people who dont listen to trance, cant stand it. and then they just dont listen to radio. and radios will die. hmm. Confused

I like radio edits!... especially if im listening to cds, cause then I can fit more and more tracks on 1 disc... also, if u are in an impatient mood and need an quick thrill, then the radio edit is best for me also Smile

Well i seen a few rather strange radio edits... I seen DJ Isaac - Insane and On THe Edge radio edits... they were still the same tracks with the same hardness except shorter.. if they were played on the big radio stations id be extremly surprised .. lol Razz Very Happy

Radio edits do seem to have to be there but I have to they they are a bit toss. Bit like the cut down version of Quake on the dreamcast, the games still there, just not as big.

come on..u cant blame on radio edits
blame it on the person

coz i know many radio edits r better than extended or club mix
they r shorter but just exactly the same..no cut of good parts
it's not long so it wont get bored

Oh all right, you guys have points. lol but still, they cut out a lot of the important bits, and it would have only added maybe a minute or so. Anyway. I'll just leave the radio edits for the radio and keep myself happy with the long really long versions. grin

Personally I ususally like the original or club mixes, but radio edits are a good start if you are trying to convert somebody to trance.
