Hey, I hear ya!! When some brave person put up on the uni's forum for people to go see PVD they got flamed off.
So where do you go to uni? lol No trancers here either.

I seem to be answering this a lot. lol
Why I like trance. Yes, it makes me happy. And no matter if it's the worst day, it erases the world and it is kind of re-energizing!

depends on where you're from to answer your question.. and i like trance b/c i can play if over and over again and not get bored of it. all i have to do is listen to a different element within the song and it becomes a whole new journey. am i the only one that does this? if not, let me know oh ya, trance is the music of the future, it's just that not everyone has joined the bandwagon yet

I dunno what to do. Godskitchen came to my uni the first week i was here and it was amazing, but hardly anyone i knew went. That is the only thing thats happened at uni concerning trance. All the rest is either pop bands like misteeq or indie/rock like the darkness and the thrills. I think its unfairly organised!!! I was hvaing this debate yesterday about which makes you happier...trance or indie. I concluded that indie ends up being depressing but trance is so uplifting and makes ur whole body rush when you hear it so loud as in a club. I seriously cant get enough of it, i breathe trance!! lol x

Nope, you're not the only one. smile It's why I like remixes too, although at the moment I'm struggling to keep up.

Lucky you! lol All the big people are coming near me this and next month and I even have friends that want me to go along, but I'm still too young to get in. (angry face) That must have been cool.
Indie has its place but usually I only listen to that stuff when I need to go to sleep. lol

The reason I like trance is because of the melodies. I'm not going to give you any high-sounding nonsense about how it is magicialor controls my emotions or anything, but I just love the way it sounds.

in aust esp. melbourne hard trance is really popular amongst the e-tards.... thats all they really know
psy trance is fairly popular amongst some clubbers and uplifting is slowly getting the support with some new young talent emerging in the scene.
I would much prefer it if it stayed this way, i would die if there was a big revolution and trance came really popular like "pop" music
it would be so bad

Must be something of a select core that like trance. I can't say any of my friends are really into it. DOes tend to be a lot of indie rock fans at uni, i went up to newcastle to see a m8 and all the folk in her block where into indie rock and metal. Went out clubing to a place that spun dance tunes and they hated it I on the other hand, was loving it.

Sorry fellas, I gotta ask...what's a uni?
As for trance, I can listen to one song over and over and over and not get tired of it. I think I had "Ayla Part II" playing straight for a month.
I actually find a lot of my friends that claim they hate electronic music learn to like it a lot when I play certain songs. To each his own, and certain types of songs appeal to everyone. Even my mom loved Nu-NRG's set when I was playing it at home.

That's one thing about indie rock, you have to be in the mood for it, or I do. With trance, it doesn't matter when it is or if I've had a crap day or what, I can play it and I love it!
And I'd die if I could get into a club at 16, Europeans are so lucky!!!! sniff

16, is the age when just about everyone starts out, or is it getting younger now?
when i was 16 I never went out clubbing at all.

Yeah 16 used to be the age, it's way younger now though (meaning generally going out, not just to clubs). Couple of the pubs in my area are so bad now that the average age is actually around 12 or 13.

In the US a good many clubs are 18+ and 21+ to drink. I know what you're saying. At my college I've got a radio show with a friend and I play trance the first hour and he does dnb... and few people listen to it cause they're all like, its kinda wierd... could you play some dashboard confessionals and I'm like BLAAAAH!

Places here are pretty careful about checking IDs.
