Post subject: Ministry of Sound releases |

I've heard lots of bad things about the Ministry's releases. Are any of their series, aka Trance Nation, Trance Nation America, Trance Global Nation, any good? I'm looking to buy some comps, but don't want to buy crap.

Ministry, how they have gone downhill.
If you want some quality ministry releases before they went proper shit, look at their back catalouge before 2001 as most of their release where pretty good, especially the ones mixed by Ferry Corsten and Judge Jules.
My Recomendations:
Trance Nation 1-4
Clubbers Guide To 1999, 2000
Very good compilations.

The only good releases by Ministry (in my opinion) are Northern Exposure (any), and Politics of Dancing

Ministry of sound should be ministry of cheese. Thats what all of the trance nation cds have been after the 1st one came out. Also I got the trance classics 2cd and its pure cheese such as atb-9pm and darude-sandstorm. The trance nation deeper 2cd was alright but it was all mainstream, but not as cheesy as the trance classics. Everything they put out is full of mainstream or cheesy songs.

Regarding the cheese factor, that's what got me wondering. One CD had 20 tracks on one CD, and there's no way a proper mix could have that many.

Allthough the early Trance Nation's do have around 20 tracks on each CD they are without doubt in my view some of the finest trance compilations you can find. Well, volumes 1-4 anyway. Packed full of quality tune after tune, surprising with the number of tracks.
