Whats up with Scooter man?

these r the problems i have with them
1. destory a beautiful vocal by hi-pitching it
2. mix 3+ different melodies in 1 song - very distorted
3. copying other people work...we all know weekend has push-strange world in it
and lastly the male vocal just pisses me off..every song has almost the same lyrics n melodyies

is it just me or any of u think scooter is weird?

I kinda like some of their first tracks like Friends... but they've been on the floor for far too long they are just "producing" shit at the moment and they've done it during the last years.. only good point in there career letely is the Ratty project Rolling Eyes

I unpitched the voice once and the female singer has a really beutiful voice!

...and they have always been copying other artists =/ Like the shouts from the "mc" is pure ripps of Ultra Sonic and they are always ripping things from The Klf =/ I were listning to their new album and single Weekend some weeks ago and I can defently tell you that about 8 or 9 songs of 12 are covers ( Exclamation

) and the b-site of Weekend (dunno what it's called) was a pure ripp of a track.. I really recognice the melodie but I can't remeber the original track.. Sad

is it just me or have Scooter started to ripp more since Axel left Scooter?

They've changed their style to sell more. Tunes for the commercial peeps now. There's commercial and then there's blatent copying commercial. Maybe they have just run out of ideas of their own and try to create a twist on old tracks. You could call them commercial bootlegers.

I to like some of their earlier stuff.

I hate Scooter. They are cheese in the purest sense of the word. Their songs are so repetitive- they all sound the same.
Oh yess, and those chipmunk vocals really piss me off too. Evil or Very Mad

The male ones aren't exactly great either.
Erik, do you wanna post a short clip of the "unpitched" voice via the attachment thing? I'd like to hear what it's like un-chipmonked. Razz

I think that although the vocal ideas are sampled, the idea behind the current Scooter music is to combine that same club music idea but with more of a trancy feel to it. to DJ Traxxlover: each vinyl comes with different mixes so if you do not like the male vocals or the three types of music into one song, then choose a different mix.... & lastly, I think their latest song, The Night, is quite good... that's all for now Twisted Evil

Something about Scooter that always gets a lot of conversation Smile

One thing about them they are good at is selling records, the amount of forum threads and discussion about them will always get the new trance fan's wallet out to check em out.

One think that cracks me up about them is the shit they come out with. "The painted cow", just what the chuff are they on when putting lyrics together. No wonder they seek inspiration from other tunes, imagine one they made themselfs Smile

One thing I hate are 'trance' covers of 80's classics, as Im a big fan of 80's. Flip n Fill and chums want locking up so they can opnly tourture themselfs.

scooters first releases were pretty good....the hi-pitched vocals were present in a few of the tracks and was pretty cool those days...
also...most tracks were self-made

these days ALL tracks got a hi-pitched vocal....and they are all cover-versions Crying or Very sad

i can still enjoy a few of the new releases...but it's nothing like before...

btw, they went off stage and cancelled their concert in Lillehammer, Norway a few weeks ago....since the orients threw things at them allready during their first song Fighter
