Live performances by producers

Is it possible for a producer or DJ to actually perform live?
I'm not talking about DJing, but actually producing a track live.
I know next to nothing about production, how producing is done, so I was just wondering...

Live Acts are popular, and always shorter due to the work that goes in

Rank 1 & Transa are 2 who've done such a thing, and I think Nu NRG have too

and I'd die to see Rabbit In The Moon live, would be so damn good

I've seen Way Out West Live and it was breathtaking

now all I want to see is RITM, & Hybrid!

I have the video of Rank 1 at Trance Energy and playing Such is Life at Sensation with the violinist etc.

I was there when Rank 1 performed live at Sensation 2001
It was my highlight of the party. You feel the strings all over your body Very Happy

Everywhere goosebumps when airwave plays, and the last track the did was superstring --> WOW. Want more of that !!!

You can see Rank1 live at Trance Energy 2002 and their performance of "Such is life" at Sensation 2001 on the DVD that comes with Symsonic *one of my most valued posessions*

If anyone knows where I can get the full Senastion 2001 performance I really really want to see it. I have the mp3 of it and its the single finest 30 mins of live electro. i have ever heard. Awe inspiring.

the such is life thing on the symsonic dvd is excelent too, as is their Trance Energy 2002 performance.*ripped the audio into lovely Ogg Vorbis and pound it on my speakers*

ive seen Nu-NRG do a Live Act. It was fantastic, and def one of the best nites of my life. the Tidy Boys did a kind of Live Act as well at Tidy Weekender 2, which included over 50 samples and a live bootleg with the Coca Cola Xmas advert vs TDV - The Dawn. Awesome stuff.

I've seen Hybrid live... 1 1/2 times... the 1/2 time was at ultra this year where i missed it and had to watch it from outside! The other time at fabric was great but there was alot of technical problems... Confused

Where??? can I get ahold of the full Sensation 2001 Rank1 Performance video. The MP3 is grand, but i must see the video!

And their Trance Energy 2002 performance wasnt as spectacular as Sensation 2001 but come on - Black Snow? thats gotta be one of the sickest songs I have heard in a long time. And the mirror chick on top of the disco ball - much too cool.

But Sensation 2001 was live broadcasted on Dutch TV [TMF], maybe someone have taped it???
