Post subject: Urban Train with vocals? |
|
|
I got a file off of WinMX that was 2:00 long, that was labeled "DJ Tiesto feat Kirsty Hawkshaw - Urban Train" so I grabbed it, and to my surprise, it was the original melody of Suburban Train with those beautiful Kirsty Hawkshaw vocals that are present in the Marc o Tool and Wippenberg Remixes, and they sounded so much better over Tiesto's masterpiece melody!! The problem is: it sounded like it was a mix, the first second or so on the file sounds like it's coming out another song, and it's obviously not a full file.. it cuts off..
First let me clarify that I know there is a "Vocal Edit" of Suburban Train which is a radio edit with just the part "Running thirsty in the rain, I'm breaking through those clouds again".. I have that.. it's on my CD single. This version the entire vocal!! The first verse is this:
We go our separate ways through the portals of love
The truth was in creating, not the aftermath
Can't say I was nothing before you came into my life
But I will keep the memories for when my soul gets weary
I don't have the lyrics to the second verse onhand (I'm at work..) but the last part is this: "Can't say I was nothing before you came into my life, now I'm waiting for the Urban Train to get back on the road"
Let's just say that I am rather desperate for information on this, yes, I will settle for an mp3 of the full vocal version, but if somebody knows if this has been released on VINYL please please please tell me where I can buy it.. I absolutely MUST HAVE THIS ON 12"!!!
End Rant..
(btw.. I can upload the 2:00 version somewhere if youse guys want to hear it.. when I get home that is.. stupid work)

Nice! I'll grab it when I get home in 2 hours or so.. how long is it? My 12" only has the vocals on the Marc o Tool Remix.. and on my CDM as well.. maybe I'll email Blackhole and ask them about it..!

I found out more about this track. (and I managed to find the full 5:06 version on winMX) This comes off of a japanse mix cd called "Trance Match: Best Hit Trance 3"
http://www7.gateway.ne.jp/~mmkmmk/Tmatch/tm03.htm
I found an old interview with Tiesto from EARLY this year.. and in it he says "I just finished a new track with Kirsty Hawkshaw.. it will be out as a single in July" so.. what I think happened, is the vocal version was never released offically. I don't know why as it's really awesome with the vocals on it. I'm gonna do my damned hardest to locate a full version somewhere.. promo 12" promo cd.. something.. and I'll get it out to everyone hehehe..
BTW.. I think the naming is Suburban Train for non-vocal version and Urban Train for vocal versions, that's why the Marc o Tool Remix is still called Urban Train on the CD Maxi.. weird huh?

Thanks Wicked Red, but I already got it!! It's surely now my top song of this year thanks to the vocal mix!!
I would like to ask though.. did you just get the mp3 or do you know what 12" it came off of? Someone told me it was on the same 12" as the new german remixes (cosmic gate/wippenberg) if that's true.. I'm all over that..
Maybe upload it anyways.. I'm sure other people might want it!!

Oh You like the vocal mix huh? You should really check out the the "Wippenberg" remix of urban train. It has the vocals as well, but is a much more beautiful song!
Tiesto - Urban Train (Wippenberg Remix)

The original mis IS the best mix!! That's why I wanted the original VOCAL mix.. and yes I think it is better than the non-vocal version because it adds so much to the track while not flooding it with vocals as some vocal trance tracks tend to do. Plus Kirsty Hawkshaw has an amazing voice. (second to Kristy Thirsk.. mmm.. Heaven's Earth..)

hmmm wippenberg vs cosmic gate remix
the vocals are better in the wippenberg remix and the tunes are better in the cosmic gate remix, the perfect remix would be a mix of the remixes

Hello...hehehe...NOTHING tops the original mix...the Wippenberg remix IMO just plain sux compared to the original, the Cosmic Gate remix adds a nice touch to it and is pretty close to the original in quality, the Way Out West Remix is just plain mellow and is right behind the Cosmic Gate Remix, the Marc O' Tool Remix is just to similar to the original and i didnt really like it...lol...but its ok...
btw...can anyone hook me up with:::
Original Vocal Mix
Marc O' Tool Main Mix <---With the full vocals
thankx
