I'm new in this genre so I wondered if anybody can give me the names of some great tracks?

If you're just new to the general trance genre, then I'd suggest listening to some more mainstream trance artists. For example, Darude or ATB. Of course you will have heard of Darude's Sandstorm. Also, for the more clubby or progressive trance feel, try something by DJ Tiesto. I really like Tiesto's "Sparkles".

Calm Before the Storm

You might also like some stuff from Sweden's Aura - the source of trance:

And of course you'll want to try something from DJ Ferry Corsten

Heres some DJ`s for you to check out - Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, John 00 Flemming, Armin Van Burren oh and Tiesto Wink

Tracks that are damn good are.. John Rees vs Helios - Beta Blocker, anything Alphazone make/remix, anything Above and beyond make/remix, anything Hemstock and Jennings make/remix.

If you wanna go out and buy a decent dance album then the 1 to get is by K90 - Urban Anthems Wink

Also Listen to the Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 2-4am sunday mornings, On 09/02/03 Armin Van Buuren takes to the decks and should be very good.
