I read an article in the Wall Street Journal today (www.wsj.com) which adheres the limitations of mixing of tracks.

And apparantly, changing the format of a song in any way is a violation of iIntellectual property laws, making DJing a theoretically illegial thing. What do you think of this?

As much as we love to hear DJs spin, and as much as i am sure that many individuals own turntables at home, but opinions?

Must be RIAA or ISPI who came up with this?

I've heard several new approaches from them lately on how to make it harder for the consumers to act legally Neutral
....and new ways to get money for illegal mp3s....

they've also started contacting larger companies with good internet-connections...telling them to either shut down/control the employees internet-access....or start paying a fee to them since many employees probably downloads mp3s at work....

Legislators now-a-days are sometimes unreasonable in passing some of their bills. let's just hope that before taking this issue to the next level which is the senate that they must realize that theres nothing explicit and offending lyrics in trance tracks. before they ban DJ-ing they must first ban those western black rappers that create explicit lyrics which are sometimes causes breakout among rival gangs and street crimes
