Peer 2 Peer Services

Without a doubt most have you have heard on the news some time recently about the continuing threat of illegal peer to peer services and the damage it is doing to the music industry. With supposed global drops in music sales the industry is trying to stem the tide by closing down servies and lauching their offical servies like Pressplay ect.. and things like digital download day.

It is obvious that offical servies like Pressplay are fighting an uphill battle against the likes of Kazaa and Morpheus.

Although servies like Pressplay cater for most people i don't think as of yet there is a legal service that provides digital files for people who love Trance, I very much doubt that they have available most of what the Trance community are looking for. This obviously causes problem for people who can't get hold the music that they want and do not have vinyl players to be able to purchase legit music.

If the music industry wants to stop people downloading off illegal peer to peerer servies they have to cater for everyone which I believe they are not doing and at a reasonable price like 50 - 60p per song or flat rate charge.

Downloading off services like Kazaa it ovbiously losing revenue for artist but at the same time people who love Trance are not given a good legimate download service to download files from. So where does it leave us then.
