Post subject: What are the best starter decks ? |

I'm hopefully going to be buying myself a package to start mixing on decks, I'd like suggestions for the best starter packages please, I'm considering at the moment going for this spec.. ne1 wanna help me change it or am I on the right track ?

2 citronic pd-1 decks
Behringer vmx-100 2 channel mixer
Sennheiser hs125 headphones
Slipmats included
Carts and styli included
All connected leads included
£369 is the price any help is much appreciated

So, you're gonna have a shot at DJ'ing too huh Cool. I think the Citronics are good beginners decks, but you might want to reconsider the mixer. It has only low/high cuts per channel. I think it's better to buy a mixer which has low/mid/high. But if you don't need that the VMX100 is good. I'm thinking of buying the VMX200 myself. It looks like a good mixer.

ian.. u may alreday now this but you can find some DJ Packages @ http://www.richersounds.com for about £200.. they probally aint very good.. but i dunno whats good and whats not really..
i think theres a technics package for £300 and 2 gemini ones, 1 for £200 and one for £300.. if i remember correctly..

Dont bother, just go for the 1210's your mixing will come along alot faster with top decks.

yeah....get good decks.. mixer isnt overly important when starting out.. but like the guy says.. good decks will help progress ur mixin..
