| It was brought up a while ago, just wondering what if anythings gonna be done for Member 2000 on the Board, since we're fairly close to it, it'd be good to know what you're planning if owt for it....

There have been occasions where people have been banned. I have banned 3 people from i:Vibes. They clearly were on a mission to 'break' i:Vibes or so it seemed and I banned them temporarily. They then came and apologised and we decided to unban them after that... Were not horrible people, we just dont like people disrupting the site.
Banning is only an extreme measure which is taken on people who break the rules on more than one occasion even after being warned by an admin!
We would never ban a member permanently unless they made a big crime against us! so no worries to anyone who has registered so far

you mean a dynamic ip, i think he was more talking about a username/acct ban, would make more sense, and as for banning ip's that aint exactly concrete to keeping them out like the example you mentioned, but maybe if its warrented, and i mean in the rare few cases, but like steven says no permanent ban yet

the thing is the 2000th member could be a useful poster, or a 3 post wonder, maybe it'll be someone who links mp3s and is banned, or a top class DJ, who knows, it's coincidence, but I don't think a prize will be offered cos I wouldn't put it past another member to re-register & claim it  So Andy & Dave .... ur foiled Nah in all seriousness, I think it's more a sign of the site building into a good community than some sort of thing to worship and offer prizes for
