Post subject: help about making music |
|
|
heyy...
I have been listening to trance for about 7 years now, and i have started mixing, and itīs been good so far, iīm a dj in local radio station, but i want to take it next level.
the thing is that i have almost NO idea about making music, software, hardware, etc....., donīt have to make an entire article about it, just give me brieff information... something to start
and another thing: when youīre going to make remixes you have to have the samples, sounds, lyrics, etc.. of the original song but in separated tracks, my question is: where do you get all of it? contacting the record company maybe? or the artist directly? or you have to make them again (which i donīt think so)?
any reply will be apreciated

well heres one way you could do it, it may not be the best way but you can try:
if you own your own music equipment and it has midi capabilities, you can always download midi files of songs and then use them in a recording proggy with your equipment. i have done this using pro-tools. you may have to do some hard searching to find a good midi that sounds just like the song you want because sometimes a moron goes and tries to make a midi file for a song and its all screwed up sounding.
you can also download a free demo of protools at digi designs website. theyll only let you make 8 tracks though.
i hope i helped maybe a little.
