I have some things to say about the fuzz is going about commercialism,

It is not possible to reply, so I make a new thread for this one.

First of all I want to give my respect for this guy Ami for his effort to share his mind with all of us, he clearly loves trancemusic and I LIKE THAT.

But I have some critics to things that he mentioned.

It's easy to blame the commercialism of producing bad music. Because what we hear as bad music is often the music that you hear at the TV and radio. Britney or The Backstreet guys may have a lack of depth in their lyrics, but you know what, IT SELLS. That's maybe the result of commercialism, you know: children get influenced by TV etc.. Children want to make an image, black music ( rap r n b) has a tough image(and that is cool). But you know what: I like to sing along with the BSB and N sync, and there are a lot of adult people listening to "black music".

The point is people like that kind of music, the easy music, with catchy lyrics and nice tunes. Most of them are 16 years old or younger children, but what do you expect from them: listening Paul van Dyk - Autumn I don't think so. And personally I don't mind that these children or anyone else listen to pop music or other commercial crap, because it gives myself an unique feeling about my taste of music.

Rap is invented as protest for the racism and violent that has been done towards the Afro American. So of course it has aggressive lyrics on it.
You, Ami, have critics about the violent lyrics from the rapscene, but you defend maryln manson craps???????
And it is, in my opinion, true that the manson,s listeners are very weird and scary guys. Have you seen what they wearing???? as if

Dance music (especially Trance) is very very very commercial!!!!
I say: Milk inc, G-Spot, Klubbheadz, Johan gielen(sad), Silver and some parties like Trance NRG (I don't know if all of you know those guys, but I'm from Holland and those guys are the Top 40 filler in the Netherlands).

Of course there are some exceptions from great DJ's whose not getting commercialized like:
Paul van Dyk
Paul Oakenfold
Tiesto
Sven Vath
Marco V

But what I trying to say is that the beauty of commercialisation, that if a kind of music is sounding good to our ears it will be shared to other people who don't know this music. And if many people fancy this music, many commercial craps will arise. But do not have fear to lose gooc music, cause there are always people who try to be innovative and original, till it become popular and the circle is starting over.

i too have xperinced this, they often have many intrests that are comon with many other ppl, quite a few of them like anime, that cant be bad, and im sure many other ppl will/have experinced this, and its not limited to marilyn manson fans either!!!

Howdi Folks,

To you all that replied my post, I have a couple of things that I want to set it right.

I don't think the manson's guys are dumb. au contrair: they are very smart people and very independent in their opinions. Some of them are good for the society a.ka. treehuggin hippies (Cartman,2000).

Please forgive me, if someone get hurts by what I have said.

Just want to make clear that all music is as good as yours, but in different kind of way.

It is like traffic with a lot of stupid people that cannot drive, or not watching where they are walking, and with beautifull and ugly cars, and with some goodies or street workers on the side walk. It's just fun to laugh at it, or to curse them, or drawling on them. It's life like music make you feel alive.

By the way, what do you ppl think of this tune:

its ok, i dont really think you hurt ppl anyway, as long as your view aren't outright offensive, then its ok in my books.

and i did sort of get you point in the original post!
oh and in a imaginary/ideal world i know a few ppl, who are so stupid when it comes to driving and such stuff, that for them there is no excuse for their stupidity, that in my perfect world they would get run over, just to get a simple point thro their thick skulls

oh, and music is a bit like cars, theirs the majority that love ferraris/aston martins/porsches, but then their is them lesser well known gems, that many ppl dont go for!!
