Has anyone noticed the simalaritys between Mario Piu's 'The Vision' &
Safri Duo's classic 'Played-A-Live'?
Ive thought this for ages now, they arnt exactly the same, just in parts.
Its uncanny! If u have both of these excellent tracks take a listen for yourself!!!
(I even thought the The Vision was a remix or rework of Played-A-Live when i first heard it!)

| For once I can't see how you get that similarity, unless its cos im too tired, but I've just played them and don't really see them too much the same, I love them both tho, but can't get what ur getting at.... I take it u mean the Vision 1 mix of Mario Piu ?

played alive uses drums (bongos) to make the sounds.. and from what i can remember.. the vision is made from electronic synthesised sounds

the first few minutes of The Vision are totally unlike played alive, its the part where its breaks down (after the breakbeats). Compare that with the dreamy synths part of Played-A-Live (the part directly after the big bongo section) then it goes into the main part of the song, and still theres a hint of this in The Vision. Listen to both of those parts directly after one another.
