As much as I'd love England to win it, I don't think we will, not if we take the Nevilles anyway and seaman. I got a funny feeling about spain this time, they got about 15 quality forwards who could go including Raul, Exteberria, Morientes, Salva, Catanha, and with midfielders like Hierro, Helguero, Xavi, Gabri etc, they're a pretty solid bet for me, but like Andy, as long as the French don't win again I'll be happy, I don't mind the brazillians if Ronaldinho Gaucho, Rivaldo, Juninho, Roberto Carlos etc play well it'll be fun to watch....

Tranceseeker, Voting for England to win isn't realistic either, We got no left footed players who's ne good so we'll end up with Mr Carragher and his coin throwing antics @ left back i fear

i have to say that england winning would be very unlikely as ian pointed out.. but also in that fact that.. who will we have upfront ??

owen.. ---> hes a star

but no dowt his partner will be heskey and to be honest.. hes as good as a lump of shite...

my vote would go to cole or phillips... Laughing

.. or we could try and convince nistelroy to become english Razz Wink

Being a Bolton fan, it'd be nuts not to throw Michael Ricketts Name in, but I think we could do a lot worse than Robbie Fowler, he's scoring for fun @ leeds now, the moves done him good, I also heard we might be trying to Convince Paolo Di Canio to take up a british citizenship since he's been here 6 years now, so he'd qualify having never played for Italy Very Happy

Actually I must say Beckam is maybe good, ok, but he is OVERHYPED.
Beckam here Beckam there, if I watch a football game here,
Champions league, the speaker here alway says there's beckam with his golden feet, If there is one guy who can score from there then it MUST be Beckam, If one scores on a cornerkick from Beckam then he is GOD, wooow you see that excellent kick from him. do u know what I mean?
And if he kicks a bad corner then nobody says something. He can only be good, but there are more people who can kick a ball. That what I think of it here in Belgium.
Not a bad guy, but so overhyped IMO.
One guy that I DO hate is DAVIDTS, is a scandal on the field ! hehe

But we wont see him in the world cup LOL hahahaaha

BTW what "vision" do you Brits have on the Belgian football team.
Im curious what ppl in other counties think from Belgium.

A few years ago MIKE (verstraeten) was in the team LOL.
I think he saw that he better could keep producing track instead of playing football haahaha.

But what do you guys think about the Belgium team?

the football team... in my eyes i see them as an average team... nowt special but not complete crap... i feel that england v belgium would be a close match..

as for belgium as a whole.. i dont really have any opinions on it.. its one of those 'forgoton' about countires if u like... i dont recall a bad thing ever been said about it tho.. altho that could change if we play u in the world cup Laughing

and yeah beckham is WAY too overhyped... but he is a really good footballer.. and i think him, gerrard and owen will hold the key to how well england do in the summer Laughing

Sometimes they play good but they lag really good players who can make the difference, we have not one topplayer lol
you have Beckam, owen and all the others, there all famous in the world Smile
I think times have changed. All the big countries like Brazil, Argentinia, Germany, etc.... are not as big anymore as they were in the past.
I think even the little countries have a chance now (not to go for the world cup but to reach next rounds)
In the past you had Brazil, Germany, The Netherlands, Argentinia, ... as THE SUPERIOR.
Now the small countries have more chances (I think Smile)
I dont know...

I think Belgium & England aint too far off either, To be honest your domestic league isn't very strong tho, its usually Club Brugge or Anderlecht winning it, tho Genk have a good team this season Very Happy

Yeah, I follow Eurogoals on British Eurosport so I usually see all the action every monday night, I love the spanish league, and the italian but I think the French Domestic league sucks, Holland is ok, Germany isn't that good IMO but theres a few good players playing in belgium, everyones on about some guy called Wesley Sonck lately, being heavily linked over here with moves to England at the end of the season

Yeah Sonck is a good player , he's an easy scorer
So you better watch out for this scoring machine at the world cup hehehehe.

Do you actually play football yourself?

I've played under 12's to under 15s but I don't play anymore, I'd like to but I spent more time on music and stuff and put on weight so now I just play cricket which not too many ppl will be familiar with, but its fun and we all play in the summer down the park for a laugh

I gotta admit that the thought of being up at the park for 9am on a sunday morning doesn't really appeal to me anymore, I play the odd game sometimes but nothing serious, the crickets more fun cos its relaxed and cos im better at that than football

Apart from a few decent clubs and Alton Towers, u aint missing that much mate, its not the worlds nicest country, plus the local dialects would have you screaming, specially Geordie or the posh ones like Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire, I so hate them, they sound so damn posh... then u got ooo arrrr ambrosia in Devon, thats hard to understand

hehehe, Its kinda funny hearing those dialects lol

But I like to go once in my life to Gatecrasher or ministry of sound.
Maybe next summer or so.
It seems to be one of the best places on earth, I dont know.
I have much life mixes from gatecrasher, so I HAVE to go there hearing my all time dj Oakenfold spinning the shite out of the crowd hehehe.
BTW do you know if there are some kind of "retro parties or evenings" in England (we call it like that when there are parties like the good old time 5-10 years ago, only music from that time)

So Oakenfold just spinning like he did in 1999 or his goa mixes.
If there is something like that out there in your country DONT hesitate to tell me.
I would "murder" hearing one of those legendary mixes LIVE.
