Any reason why they all seem to be ID3-tagged allready?

Number 2 sounds like some Sunscreem remix to me, but I see it's tagged differently...

And number 9 is definately Juno Reactor - Pistolero.

Out of grace...? G.D....? Uh, crap, looks like I might actually have upped the wrong samples heh. That was the first thread I made, for all the tracks I'd ripped from various tapes I'd recorded back in the day. Geh, that'd explain why they're already tagged, because I tagged them back when I was getting them ID'd.

Sorry about that, I'll get the right ones upped ASAP Smile

edit: I see what I did. I've got a samples folder that contains these tracks, and in that another folder called Live for the new samples. I typed the wrong url and missed out the extra folder. I'll fix up the first post now.

edit2: Ok, they are correct now.

I've heard number 3 lots of times, but can't remember the name of it...

Number 9 is some remix of Neutron Tom - Feel the Magic (perhaps the Rachel Auburn mix).

Number 10 also sounds very familiar, but I can't place it...

Number 23 is some remix of Peter Presta - Rock The Funky Beats...

I've heard a few of the others too, but I have no idea what tracks they are...sorry

You're right, it is. Amazing how you can listen to a song and not realise it's something you know (it is quite different to the original though.)

I'm not 100% sure with this but 21. sounds like a mix of Futuresmile - Memories. I don't have the record myself so i can't confirm it.

23. Not any of the mixes of Peter Presta track, they're all too laidback "housey" compared to the sample.
The same sample spoken by Chuck D and taken from Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, is used in dozens of different tracks. Probably the best known production using the "If you like to rock the funky beat" sample is Natural Born Chillers - Rock The Funky Beat from 1997 but all the versions of that one are more or less of breaks/drum'n'bass/big beat. Luckily for you ( Laughing

) it has also been used to death in all kinds of cheesy trancers, hard trancers and housers over the past 10 years including such artists as Groove Gangsters and Public Domain. It isn't any of the Public Domain mixes though.

*EDIT* Actually 23 sounds like a track with just the Chuck D acapella layered on top of it.. i've heard the instrumental track before now when i think of it, but can't come up with the name.
