Michael Splint's compilation is finally here, what's it contain, did it meet the hype?

This won't be a buy for me. I've already heard many of the tracks on it on other compilations.
PS Andy - Like the review. Very honest! Also like how you went through each track individually.

Very thourough review - but of course I'm not as pleased with it as I could be Wink

His track by track walkthrough is nice - although we dont agree on some of the comments - taste varies from person to person - and I KNEW I wouldnt be able to make everybody happy Wink

however - Viceroy - if Andy had reviewed the cd when he got it - it wouldnt seem that old Cool

as always when compiling a cd, there are many factors you have to look at. This was from the beginning a "commercial" cd - which means we (me and the record company) needed to put some "hits" on it. then there is the clearing process - from the time we ask for a track, till we get it - is sometimes 3 weeks. then it has to be compiled and mixed, the cover needs to be done and then there is the pressing - before you look around - 6-8 weeks have passed - and your cd looks dated...

Andy is correct about the fact that this cd "showcases" me as a dj - these tracks are amongst the stuff when I play out.

This has to be the worst review ever! It seems to be too critical (not an ounce of constructive critisism, just plain slagging off) ... and sounds like the opinions of a grumpy old man

I myself purchased this CD after hearing a Michael Splint set on di.fm, and let me tell you, I am extremely happy with it! ... he is an extremely talented DJ and has chosen his tracks carefully with precision and excellence, which forms an intimacy with the listeners... he takes them bubbling along on the perfect squaresaws of trance lemonade and then throws them in a pot of butter with the smooth pans and treacle strings (no im not even smoking anything, this cd does this!)

The 2nd CD in my opinion is the best, fresh flavours for a bored trance audience..... future hits, emotional breaks, and intricate textures that are woven to nothing less than genious.....The vocal tracks bring goosebumps, the exciting lyrics and flawless vocals, its what the trance scene needs right now.
This CD will be in the cd player in my car for many months to come, the songs are awesome and we will remember the man who brought us them, Michael Splint!
I recommend this to everyone!
