I used to have such a low opinio of Fred Baker. I mean he was producing one flop after another, pure cheese, nothing special, everybody can make sort of trance. I remember so many attempts (no wait, I actually don't remember any because they were not memorable, I only remember they were crap) in producing tunes.
Never before has an artist changed me around so much! Within a year or so he has gone probably to the top of my favourites list and wait for each tune of his with...lust. His stuff as Dark Alliance, Red Alliance and with his own guise as well as his remixes were simply amazing.
This release although not one of his best is still VERY powerfull. His remix is pure techtrance that I came to love. Great melody and a great build up going into a not so perfect breakdown but nevertheless an amazing job. But this is one of those records that it's simply impossible to choose which side should go up on the deck because the keyboard kids have done an equally amazing job giving a masssive trancer. Great stuff
Unfortunately my beloved Fred Baker came up recently with this shit: Fred Baker & Vincent Gorczak - La Part Des Anges just to prove that he can still be his good old bad self i f he wants to. Hmm. Split personality maybe?
