Webspace and domains

I'm designing a website to promote my stuff at the minute and I'd like a specific domain name and to buy some webspace. When I search on google 1001 sites come up and I have no idea who to go with. Any suggestions?

Otherwise I would suggest www.unitedhosting.co.uk - had them earlier for many websites and they were ace!

For domain-names www.godaddy.com is my advice.
