oi oi

i know the majority, well all of the people on this board are fans of Trance/ house/ dance genre- otherwise why the fuck would you be here?

anyway just curious to know how long have u been listening to this genre and have your tastes changed to different types within the genre over the years ie melodic/uplifting trance to progressive trance or to hard house or prog house

or if you were a fan of a different genre alltogether ie rock- but saw the light and changed to this wicked style...

for me personally i have to say i been listening to the genre since i was about 10 or 11. i first started off listening to happy hardcore around 94-95, then trance around 97 but in last few years (back end of 2000) got into more progressive trance and prog house- mainly cos i was getting sick of trance and it was getting too f.uckin cheesy (98-2000- best years for trance) and basically im glad i changed my tastes-although trance is still good u just got to know where to find it!

anyway thats my story and wasnt it great- and know i bet you are glad u read it!! so reply!!!!!!! if you want to and tell the world about your music progression!!

erm..

started listening to dance stuff in 95

moved on to liking happy core in 97

then came trance at the backend of 98

and since then ive mainly listened to vocal / uplifting or hard trance Laughing

i have never liked any other genre... it all sucks d1ck.. cos its sooo fcuking laim..

I started onto the old-skoll stuff like prodigy, sl2 and so on in about 1991-2, then I moved onto a bit of a Jungle/D&B year in 93, lots of DJ SS, Ratty & Hype stuff... Then in 94 I was into more commercial dance and hardcore, and then from 95 happy hardcore till 2000 and trance from 97-2002 & still going....

Started listening to Trance around 98 and loved it every since. Got in a bit of Hard House around 2001 and love it. Never really into stuff like Progressive, Old Skool and Hardcore stuff (Happy Hardcore is not bad) I mainly listen to Uplifting Trance, Vocal Trance and Melodic Trance. Also I listen to about 7 hours a day of Trance.

First i didn't know what music i liked i listened a little bit to Pop but i didn't like it very much. Than in the beginning of 99 when i was only 9 years i bought a Antiloop album and i loved it very much. Than i found out about Trance[]Control and i think its there i really got addicted to Trance Very Happy

And now i listen to all sort of Trance and Techno and i love it Very Happy

My first contact with trance was in 95 with goa trance / psy trance
cd that called "dragonfly" - (not the one by oakenfold)
i like the sound and the energy's of this music - and left all other genere
behind...
rank1 - airwave was the track that open my mind to other trance music
especially club trance and uplifting...
in 99-01 i were searching the net / music stores for trance music
and reveled the melody style... so sweet so good!
now i hear all the kinds of trance music - but dislike prog. and techno -
with some exceptions...
but still after all this years there nothing like psy-trane (yahel, holyman..)
in a party under the open sky...

My first taste of electronic started back in 95 when i started listening to trip-hop/downtempo stuff like DJ Shadow (i know ya'll remember Organ Donor!)heard a little bit of trance but wasn't interested...later started listening to DnB/Jungle, loved the enegry and insane beats (DieselBoy, LTJ Bukem, AK1200, JMagik) One Day back in 97 i believe, a friend bought me a CD, it was Paul Oakenfolds Tranceport.....trance lover ever since that day!

Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (i think thats the name)

cuz they were the oldest I can remember - but they dint really really get me into it...

Push - Universal Nation
Sasha - Xpander

These are my fav tunes... but i now like techno, tek trance and hard trance mainly - dont get me wrong.. i luv uplifting so much.. but i'm growing up as trance is i think Razz

Scince i was 9 (in 1990) i loved dance music, Technotronic/Snap/Black Box, the euro-house scene was booming back then!! a couple of years later and Rave came along... Prodigy/SL2/Baby D/Bizzare Inc, they became my new heroes until... 1993/94, Eurohouse was returned!!! Rollo being my favourite producer/dj. During 96/97 i got into the guitar scene a bit, but then in 1998 i discovered Dutch trance!!! Ive never looked back... Thats my story so far... Cool

err, started just recently, b4 that just listening to music in general, nothing really special was there, well nothing that caught my attention anyway, until someone/s (there on this board :D) introduced me to it, and this board roughly at the same time, and i goto say its all good
