Post Post subject: Darin Epsilon & Tom Sela 'Lapis Lazuli' OUT NOW on Beatp Reply with quote

Flow Vinyl’s second summer release is a collaboration between Darin Epsilon and Tom Sela. Darin Epsilon from Los Angeles needs little introduction, and he combines a hectic international DJ schedule with productions on many of the best labels.

For his debut release on Flow Vinyl, Darin joined forces with regular studio partner Tom Sela to create Lapis Lazuli, a breezy, percussive track that subtly takes hold of the listener.

A vocal sample rests on top of a complex array of percussion, including a deliciously sweet marimba, while other sounds drift in and out of the mix. Less is more with ‘Lapis Lazuli’, and it’s sure to become a firm favourite at beach parties and open-air events this summer.

The international remix package starts with Hungary and Lank who gives ‘Lapis Lazuli’ a tougher tech edge while still retaining its original dreamy quality. Next up is Andre Sobota from São Paulo who has released a string of well received tracks on labels like microCastle Music and Pryda Friends. The Brazilian producer delivers a remix in his trademark driving, big room style. DNYO, also from São Paulo, completes the picture with a darker, bass-heavy late night version.
