Theres so many tunes out there that could of been absolute anthems but just never quite got there, maybe its because there are so many massive tunes around at the same time & these little gems get by-passed.

Heres a few tunes that i think fall into this catogory, do u have any others to add?? Arrow

SAGITAIRE: Shout
AQUAPLEX: Brightness 99 (DJ Sakin & Friends Mix)
DAVID FORBES: Questions Must Be Asked
MAS: Chemic (Now Mix)

You may say "THESES ARE ANTHEMS" but im talking about comparing the success of one of these tunes with say... Castles In The Sky, see wot im saying? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Exclamation

I guess thats a good thing, we get the lesser known trax for free, but i remember coming home from a total session, looking out the window on the sunset & hearing Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky on the radio. I just thought: Damn, that Sun looks almost as good as this tune sounds! I'll never hear that song the same again... Surprised

wow... what a guy... but thats so true !!

listen to Phil Green & Dave 202 - At The End (Hard At The End Mix), the beginning does that perfectly, and so does Tiesto's remix of Delerium's Silence.

People who say for instance Castles in the sky or Resurrection are true Trance anthems are fully newbies to the Trance world. These people don't know what they are talking about. All they listens to are what are being broadcast on the radio or on mix cd. These stuff are bassically commercial.

True Trance anthems would be:

Dumonde vs Lange - Memory (Original Vocal mix)
Blank & Jones - Desire (Original mix)
Apoptygma Berzerk - Kathy's Song (Ferry Corsten remix)
Veracocha - Carte Blanche (Original mix)

and many more.

OK, i think wot your saying is true but you like the rest of us probley had Castles In The Sky on you hard-drive months before it was a hit! Just because its sells hundreds of thousands of copies, dosent mean it should be written off as commecial shite! Sure, everybody playin it can become tedious but we're the people who discovered these tunes (when they were first out on promos) and after the chart-posse have finished up, we still have them (and the remixes that the others dont know about!) I dont care if a trance record sells a million copies, if its a good track, its a good track. simple! Cool

so true... it piss's me off when a good song turns commercial.. becuase it is degrading to its name.. but should not be written off as an anthem.. infact.. most anthems probally have turned commercial.. because they are THAT good.. that they get signed up...

castles in the sky and ressurection are trance anthems in my opinion... when non trancers think of trance... these are the songs they think of.. it just piss's me off when shitty dance music gets classed as trance... GRRRR.... Razz
