REAL AUDIO FILES- COPPIED TO CD????????? HELP

ello, just wondering if anyone can solve this countdown stylee conundrum?

is it possible to copy .ram files eg Real Audio files onto CD????? because i have a couple of old Colouseum and Afterdark Rave Real Audio files( live sets i think-) i would like to put 2 cd. i havent finished downloading real player yet- so i dont know how long the files are (in minutes), but i can say they are 538 bytes in size.

if they are under 80min is it possible 2 put them on to cd eventhough they are so small???????? please help

this sounds a bit gay, but did anyone see countdown on ch4 this afternoon, because i was wondering if i was the onlyone who got DILDO from "the make a word out of these letters question?" it was the one where PIDDLED came up?

i think all CD Writing programs can only convert mp3 and wav files to audio CDs (well atleast all the ones ive come across) so.. you will have to get a program which can convert

Ram --> Wav
or
Ram --> Mp3

.. i should imagine you will be able to find some free ware appz to do this @ downloads.com

No way they are 80 minutes if they are so small. If you look in that files (with Notepad for instance) you would notice that they merely contain the URL of a .ra file. So if you put them on the CD, you would only have 2 500bytes files with only the URL for the real files. You need a way to save the _original_ files (the ones for which the URL is provided in those files). I can't give you a way off the top of my head, but it could be possible if, for instance you would have a pro version of the real player (not sure though) or some other tool on the 'net that knows how to save such files.

if you have a real audio file no matter how long / big it is, you will be able to convert it to wav and burn it to CD..

that is aslong as it isnt a streaming file and its a file you can play from your comp without being connected to the net...

the sets ar 46- 48 min long. but they are streaming files so it wont work . anyway cheers for the suggestions.

Anyway ive found out i can get them on tape down the Quay for a couple of quid, so thats where ill be on sunday morning!!

is there no way u can save target as and save the full file to your puter ?

or when u r streaming the file u could get a wav recorder program and record it... Razz
