What's the latest trends in music?

Hey,
I am currently doing some work for school.
I'd like to know what are the latest trends in music right now, for teenagers.

Can be anything, from the way they share music or the latest genres.

Here in the UK the in thing is 'Niche' at the moment. Thats what a lot of teenagers I know around here seem to listen to. It's either that or very commercial dance music.

Scooter had a number one album in the UK album chart a few weeks ago and its the shitest album I've heard for years, full of complete bollocks to put it lightly.

The whole Niche thing is a mystery to me, in fact I hate it but its what the kids listen two. Hopefully once they discover the good stuff they will see the error in their ways.

what is niche? ive never even heard of it. Isnt garage meant to be coming back in, for teens?
