Do you think they combine well? Here are some musics that are a mix with classical music and Trance:
William Orbit - agnus Dei (adagio for strings) (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Rollerball - Albinoni (Above & Beyond Remix)
Safri-Duo - Samb-Adagio
Gladiator - Now we are Free (Darren Tate Remix)
Hybrid - Finished Symphony
Hybrid - Higher Than a Skyscraper
Edvin Marton - Art on Ice
Rob Dougan - Chateau

all tracks of Don Davis & Juno Reactor from the matrix triology soundtracks, are really superb
Fenology - Unfinished Symphony (Arc in The Sky Remix)

Next State / Now We Are Free is far better than that half baked version by Gladiator feat. Izzy (Original Mix). I'll have to check out the Darren Tate mix though, that sounds like it has potential.
I love classical/trance hybrids. They without a doubt make the best tracks.

The two genres definately go well together. Actually, I especially like electronic symphonic music, which imitates a real symphony.
There used to be a decent artist of this variety on mp3.com - Paduc. I'll post a clip if anybody's interested.

hmmm...I love this stuff!
unknown source - cruentus and Woody Van Eyden - Unfinished Symphony (Arc in The Sky Remix) are both AWESOME!
You could try these if you like...
William Orbit - Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Rank 1 - It's Up To You (Symsonic)
Shane - Too Late To Run/Turn
Sensation - The Anthem 2004
Aria - Dido / Willow (AVB Mixes)
The Realm - Lost In Space (Space Bro Remix)
Ozone - Rock
Unknown Source - Nadjanema
Mat Silver vs. Tony Burt - Waimea
Antillas - I Will Find You (2002 Remix)
Michel Clerx & Joris van Dijk - Nocturne (Fire & Ice Remix) (Not great that one)
First & André - Widescreen
Alphazone - Flashback
Ralph Novell - Wrong Love (Alphazone Remix)
(They aren't Classical par say, but they do have classic influences, you might like them )

Some these are very much classical influenced even if they aren't all based to a classical composition:
Photon Project - Enlightenment
Photon Project - Illumination
Tiësto - Magik Journey
Cape Town - Phoenix Tears
Aria - Dido (Armin van Buuren's Universal Religion Remix) >> Henry Purcell's opera "Dido and Aeneas"
Aria - Willow (DJ Tiësto's Magikal Remake) >> Giuseppe Verdi's "Otello"
Dawnseekers - Gothic Dream
Ace's Delight - Mental Theme (Ultra Trance Mix)
Cygnus X - The Orange Theme >> Henry Purcell's "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary")
Check out also Jan Vayne's (NOT Wayne) Classical Trancelations series.

Jan Vayne - Lilly (Haak Remix) ---> SO GOOD! Takes a beautiful track and just makes it sound twisted and evil... Great production.
Obviously there is Ferry Corsten's remix Of 'Adagio For Strings' with Perfecto's 'Another Day' close behind...
Someone mentioned 'Widescreen' and the Sensation anthems, these all have that Hollywood blockbuster film score style to them which is very classical influenced or at least very orchestra based anyway.

Also some Hybrid stuff ie. Unfinished Symphony, Higher Than a Skyscaper (a personal favourite).
I'm no Hybrid expert but I love the sound of this stuff.
The original, non-vocal version of Symsonic is better if you're in it for the strings. The vocal version is still good however.

That's the one! There was 4 ep's and if I remember the only place that seemed to have them was Juno.co.uk. (But Hard to Find records have them for sure, but the donuts have it down as Jan Wayne..... )
They weren't bad at all. I loved; Heaven's air - fred baker & terry bones mix and the whole of Sampler 3 (Property in a new world - signum mix,
Welcome to a new world - fred baker mix and Air a pull - c quence mix)

And what about this one of the most recent hybrid cd, I Choose Noise:
Hybrid - Just for Today,
It's a mix of progressive breaks and electronica with a real live orchestra. It's reminiscent of Finished Symphony, uplifting yet hard–hitting a slow and wonderful piece with a stunning string portion that sends chills up my spine, absolutely astonishing!!!

Hybrid simply rulezzz They make the most moving pieces of electronic music ever, I think their music will be heared even 500 years had passed or even more. It's the only music I seem not to get bored in similarity with classical music that crosses generations always updating itself.
