Uh, at least I think it was called Moon River, my memory is a little hazy. Classic trance track though, released somewhere in the late 90's, probably 98-99 sort of time. Hopefully someone has a better memory than me because this is driving me nuts

I need help... I'm also looking for a popular, somewhat smooth, house track (almost chill-out/ambient, but not quite).
It starts with the drums muffled and four notes start playing over and over until the drum beats come to full volume. It's got a 'happy' tune to it. I can't really tell what kind of instrument the notes are played on. Aside from this and that, there's also a female vocal in it.
I know, the info is very vague. If you have no idea, please just guess some tracks that you think might fit the above description. I've been guessing for the past week. waaa
Put me out of misery, and I'll be forever grateful.

Mmm. Johnny Shaker aka Three'n'One. A classic trancer with hypnotic piano... the original instrumental from '97 is amazing but the vocal update again is horrible.

The '05 remake aka ABS - Pearl River 2005 is the usual average 'ASOT fitted' update which has lost all the magic of the original along the way.. even the 1998 vocal version of the original is better. But luckily the most cheesy synths have stayed out of this remake so it might work in a club anyway....
You can listen samples on Juno (about 1:00 mp3 & wma) HERE or on Chemical (about 3:29 mp3 & realaudio) HERE or at any good store you prefer.

Eh, thanks for replying. I've finally found out about the title- it's called "Simple Life" or something-- I'm not really sure, but I still do not know the artist. Hope that narrows the vague info.
Thanks again!
(later...)
I want to narrow it down some more and wrote a tab, it's all I can remember-- it's the main tune of the song, I can't remember any words to the song at all :
| Code: | This is the main instrument- kind of a light, happy sound:
e|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------7-----6---------7-----6---------7-----6---------9-----6----|
D|--7/9-------------7/9-------------7/9-------------7/9------------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
....the tab above is played over the main bassline which goes like this (a series of D's and A's) :
e|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
D|0---------------0------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------0---------------0----------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
So to incorporate both if you want to test it with your guitar, it would play like this (with kick & snare):
e|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------7-----6---------7-----6---------7-----6---------9-----6----|
D|0-7/9-----------0-7/9-------------7/9-------------7/9------------|
A|--------------------------------0---------------0----------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
||K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K---K----| » Kick
||----S-------S-------S-------S-------S-------S-------S-------S----| » Snare
|
Thanks again. Will be waiting for replies...
