Post Post subject: Goa and Psy Reply with quote

Is there anyone out there that agrees with me that goa and psy is the best kind of trance? Most topics on this sight are about the euro/melodic/vocal trance. i used to listen to that until it got boring. the goa and psy throws one into a trance like no other style, not to mention im willing to bet its the most intense trance out there.

I agree with you. Been a goa/psy fan for many years now, and there are many good new releases coming out almost all the time in these genres. Smile

I wouldn't say it's the best IMO, but it is certainly a very interesting style. In particular I rather like artists such as Hallucinogen, Man with no name, Astral Projection, Blue planet corporation and similar styles, great stuff indeed Very Happy

I love Goa/Psy!! It's just soooo cool and was a heavy influence in my music and djing material...Man with No Name is fanastic, whilst Astral Projection have done some very nice productions.

I loved the old Matt Darey, JOOF and Digital Blonde stuff too!! Razz (An interesting fusion of PSY/GOA and melodic Trance with them three!)

John '00' Fleming is a big influence on me, loved his style and like Alan said it's a fusion of psy/goa and melodic trance...

I love Yahel productions. This guy is really good, especially his early stuff like 'Going Up'. Astral Projection have some wicked stuff out too.

I really like psy, but it's hard to find albums or compilations of it so I'm somewhat out of the loop. Like the sound of it, though.

Oh!! I love Yahel, his is so clever with his tunes.

But if it makes you feel any better Sam, you can't get a lot of Psy in the UK either. Sadly!! Crying or Very sad

Yahel indeed rocks, althought he is now following more commercial and uplifting trance sounds. But he's good in that too:D

Try

Infected Mushroom - Deeply Disturbed (Yahel remix)

and a tune that really is worth finding:

Fly Agaric - I See My Self < This track is really an anthem of psytrance..

If you like psy, then you should have a good shot at a couple of my track IDs in the game on the board, including a fairly famous psy track.

Another super psy track, althought quite minimal for my tastes but still excellent:

Melicia - Running Out Of Time

And if you like ethnic/israeli/psy elements in tracks try:

Prodigy - Voodoo People [Eskimo psy rmx]. Skazi used to play it a lot in his sets here in Greece..(Althought the original voodoo people is way better Razz )
