I think "catchyness" differs in the ears of every listener but here are a few of my suggestions:

4 Strings - Into The Night (Original Mix)
Airwave - Ladyblue (1992 Flight)
Alpha Breed - Alien Arrival
Atlantis Ita - See You In The Next Life (Push Remix)
Ayu - M (Above & Beyond Typhoon Dub)
Binary Finary - 1998 (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Energy 52 - Café Del Mar (about any of the million mixes, what suits you best)
Humate - Love Stimulation (Paul van Dyk's 1993 Love Mix)
Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl (Above & Beyond Remix)
Minimalistix - Close Cover (DJ Gert vs. DJ Bonka Remix)
Mothers Pride - Floribunda (Big C Remix)
System F - Out Of The Blue (Original Mix)
The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (En-Motion Remix)
Watergate - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence 2003 (Hemstock & Jennings Remix)

By the way, Underworld - Born Slippy is NOT the same as Born Slippy.NUXX (aka the vocal version). Original Born Slippy is much deeper and techier without the familiar breakdown melody.

mmm well i'd say.... :
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar [1997]
Binary Finary - 1998 (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Push - Universal Nation [1999]
Tilt - Invisible (Lost Tribe Vocal Mix)[1999]
Three Drives - Greece 2000
Members of Mayday - 10in01 (Paul van Dyk Club Mix) [2001]
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Armin van Buuren Remix)
Alibi - Eternity (Original IC Edit) & (Armin van Buuren's Rising Star Mix) [2001]
Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin van Buuren Remix) [2002]

i guess these are some "catchy" tunes from 1997 Exclamation
...there are a lot more to write of course, from the years 2003 til now too..some of them may be classics, but "classic" differs from the "catchy" i guess Rolling Eyes

Here's a couple I always found to be "catchy":

Veracocha - Carte Blanche - Brilliant track, one of the best ever I'd say.
Marco V - Simulated - Simple melody by very nice, and definately catchy!
System F - Spread Your Wings - A lot of people would call this cheesy, but catchy it is!
Svenson & Gielen -Twisted - very catchy, and well-produced too. The Energy mix is worth a look as well.
Southside Spinners - Luvstruck 2000 - the Atlantis Ita mix is brilliant, if you can find it.
Ransom - My Dance (Ferry Corsten Remix) - one of Ferry's better mixes, very uplifting and energetic.
Rank 1 - Airwave - often considered THE trance classic.
Nu-NRG - Energizer - What a nice melody here!
Jurgen Vries - The Theme/Wilderness - SOmewhat commerical tracks from Darren Tate, still nice melodies!
The Digital Blonde - Mooga (Hemstock & Jennings Remix) - Nice rework here, showcasing the very nice main sequence!
Darude - Sandstorm - catchy is the middle name.

Catchiest...if you are meaning 'infectious' type catchy would have to go to Barthezz's On The Move (Dumonde Remix). The track had people bouncing all over the place on it's release in London and one of my DJ pals liked the track so much, (at work and at home) he actually made his promo record ware out!! Surprised (Now that's just cool! Well maybe not for his wallet! Grin )

great tune, the melody really gets stuck in your brain but the original mix is not as good as the domonde mix

The ones you listed are a little perplexing because some are commercial cheese. Nevertheless, here are some cheese and non-cheese. Seriously too many to list.. Wink

Avanto - The Flute
Ayla - Brainchild
Ayla - Angel Falls
Darude - Sandstorm
Kuffdam and Plant - Summer Dream
Safri Duo _ Played a Alive (The Bongo Song)
Starkid - Crayons (Leeama and Moore in Loving Memory Mix)

System F - Solstice

And to be exactly correct, it's Fleming with only one M and he did actually 2 mixes of Mahadeva, J00f Mix as a solo and the other, Supakane Mix together with Tim Healey. He has the same surname as Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond aka agent 007 so the '00' refers to James Bond. He has also Bond referring mix CDs like 'For Your Ears Only' which refers to a Bond movie called 'For Your Eyes Only' and also 'Licensed To Thrill' which refers to Bond in usual because he is Licensed To Kill or then it refers to a Bond movie 'Licence To Kill'.

Spacey Orange wrote:

Ayla - Brainchild

Actually that's called Ayla - Singularity (Brainchild II). Brainchild at least refers to the original composer & artist of the track, Brainchild aka Matthias Hoffmann aka 1/2 of Cygnus X. Brainchild - Symmetry C (Lange's Breakbeat Remix) is by far the best version of the track, much better than Tandu's take on it and alot better than the more recent Dumonde remake. Lange's remix is (trancey) breaks tho as the mix title already says.

What is "cheesy" or commerical is, in many cases, a grey area or at least subjective. I'm sure many people on this board would call Sandstorm cheesy, and perhaps Played a-Live and Solstice as well.

Sandstorm and Played A Live are not cheese records. The various bootleg and Flip N FIll versions which ruin the original tracks are cheese.

I don't know if they are cheese or not and who cares, they're both quality. Laughing

Hi, Im new to this forum Smile

In my opinion these are one of the best trance songs ever:

Dave Joy - First Impression
Dreas - Morning Snow
Dreas - Havannah

And I know there are much much more great songs out there, I know of them by listening to some sets, but I dont know their names Sad

If you want to listen to those songs check out some Chris Chambers mixes cause they include great melodious tracks.

Grin )

Agreed...I still drop that track at my Club after 2am and ppl go off!!!
