Post subject: How Tiesto's changed |
|
|
Do u think that DJ Tiesto is more progressive these days - or is he just moving with the times ?? The likes of Marco V have turned more progressive all of a sudden also, yet ppl have gone to Marco V and away from Tiesto.
Trance has become 'pop music' So maybe they are keeping away from pop ??
Please let me here your suggestions....

u have a point there trancemaster.
Maybe trance became too commercial in some way for them.
And maybe the progressive IS taking over like said before (somewhere)
Marco v sets are something new to me the last time, he's really taking progressive to a higher level i think. I still love sets from tiesto, paul van dyk avb, .... more then marco v
but I think Marco v is becoming a legendary dj who's is making progressive "more known" by his style of spinning.
I think other djs will follow him.

Well he has definately become more progressive. I don't like his new progressive tunes however. I much prefer Marco V's new stuff over Tiestos'.

| hmm... i spose Marco V's style so much better than Tiesto's.... but alot of people cant wait for his remix of 'Song To The Siren' to be released (or to get on mp3) so maybe he isn't as progressive as we make out ??

well, i interviewed tiesto about 6 months ago before in my memory dropped, and the only thing i got out of him was that his tunes change by themselves...
im not crazy about his new stuff but it isnt THAT bad... his remixes are still uplifting though.... what kills me is that he's not doing any more gouryella projects with corsten!!
i think we should all make the shift over to AVB!

I've been a Tiesto fan for years and I agree his style is getting more progressive but I think its mainly because that seems to be the way trance is going, there is a lot more "experimental" progressive stuff being released but Tiesto himself hasn't changed as you can hear in his remixes which are always top class.
Just a thought...use it don't use it...whatever....

oki...Tiesto, used to be a really amazing dj...his sets were banging, especially from 99, best set from 99 was definately his Innercity set
Tiesto wanted 2 be famous, well his is now, but he's really spinning the same shit over and over again...kind of like Oakie, but Oakie's an exception Tiesto hasn't put any new song in his set 4 the past 2 years which is pretty lame...personally 2 me his is the lowest rated dj right now...and yes he is commercial...no fence to you tiesto fans, but his new album is so fucken chEEse...i only like Urban Train and all the other songs seem to hear exactly the same way...i except much more from a world-class dj like Tiesto....and if you guys think that Tiesto spins progressive, guys i wudn't even call it progressive, im a proggie head and the progressive that i listen 2 is actually progressive....Tiesto's solo Rocca tour start off with "progressive" and it was so slow, it wasn't even progressive, more of like ambient or some chEEsy chill-out house...seriously first part of the set was total bullshit from him i thought if he spin 4-6 hours he could of impressed me, but hell no not even 1 bit I dont know why Tiesto is spinning of all of that "progressive" crap, seriously, i understand if it was even good progressive than ya, that's different...Tiesto need to get his out, and find new tunes, old tunes r amazing i know but you can't just play it over all time coz it gets boring and don't FEEL them anymore, you exactly wat tune is gonna be spun Tiesto in a way is kind of like Oakie, but he's far behind though,Oakie is trance HISTORY and i really dont care if Oakie spins shit right now or watever u guys want 2 call it...i have respeKt 4 Oakie
alrigth enough said lol just hope that Tiesto will get better

Yeah agree, Tiesto has been doing progressive lately and I don't like one bit of it because I'm not into progressive stuff. Tiesto was good back a years ago with his stuff like sparkles and other tunes like that. At least Ferry Corsten is still keeping the trance going!
