Post Post subject: VERY Proggy Trance Mix: LUNA TECH Reply with quote

Many many hours in the making, and now it is complete. I am a bit of a fiend and very neurotic when it comes to making my mixes. I want each transition to be purposful, and each track to be perfect.

This one is a treat and I am quite excited to share it!

Here it is:

http://audio.area709.com/djmusicdet.php?dj=10&mix=101

Just scroll to the bottom and press listen.

1 Son Kite - Let Us Be
2 Antix - Chase
3 Frogacult - Back to the Woods
4 Lunaspice - Tixaan
5 XV Kilst - Pornblocker
6 Antix - Darko
7 Buzzmonx - Shift
8 Heliotrope - Hellion
9 FREq vs Spherical - Suzuki Sun
10 FREq - Return of the Masters
11 FREq - Spacechanger
12 Mondayz Millionaires - Coldies for Goldies
13 Son Kite - Let us Be (vocal sample)

As well, here is the direct link: www.djnokturnal.ca/music/lunatech.mp3

Just right click on the above link and select "save target as".

Critical feedback is very very welcome. If there is something you think could be improved or is out-of-place, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey thanks,

That is an awesome compliment if you thought it was well done and it's not even quite your type of tunes.

Can I ask you what your usual preferred sounds are? what it was about my mix that still pleased you in some way?

Just curious. Wink

Heh sounds like you crave the feedback as much as I do. Just giving it a listen now.

I think my greatest achievment has been making a proper DnB head get really into a progressive trance mix I did - was rather pleased with that result. Smile

Very good mate! Nice tunes too (although you're right it is extremely proggy!). The mixing is really well done.

Beautiful stuff man! Argonout made a living on that stuff. Except yours is a little more trancey. I love the floaty nature of it all.

Very, very nice! Razz (And yes, very proggy too! hehe)

Hey Watts =)

It's not so much craving paise though, just feedback (criticism for sure); to get an idea if what I have created had the intended impact.

Especially with a mix like this, I have never heard another purely proggy psy mix, one that does not venture into the trade-mark rolling psytrance basslines. So far it seems people are not sure how to take it, lots like it but are not used to it. Kinda of a cool thing to discover. It seems odd to me though since it's one of the largest sub-genres of psytrance today.

DJLifeAndDeath, I am happy you enjoyed it. =)

Thanks Bambuddha. Wink

I have a new and more progressive psy mix:

Enjoy!

*edit*

Crap, sorry about posting this to the top, it has been quite awhile since I have been on this forum, and did not realise the rules have changed.
