I know this isn't a particularly Tiesto-loving board, but I want to know what you thought about Tiesto's album that came out last year. Personally I was impressed, particularly with the first track, Forever Today.

I liked it as well, got it immediately when it came out.

'Forever Today' is awesome, Geert Huinink sure knows how to create awesome classical melodies. He was also involved in the production of 'Magik Journey', which is a pretty neat track as well.

By the way, check out Johan Gielen - 'Dreamchild', the melody in that is a lot like the one used in Forever Today Smile

Hi Sam,

We love Tiesto on this board.....really Twisted Evil http://www.ivibes.nu/board/viewtopic.php?t=10323

(I know you like that thread!! lol)

But with that said, I do like his album plus his PARADE OF THE ATHLETES is nothing short of Cool! Mr. Green (It did surprise me but fair enough some of the tracks are dodgy!! But the good ones are very good!)

Actually I like "The Parade Of The Athletes" a lot more, "Just Be" is a boring album IMO!

I thought the album was nothing special, though I did like the aforementioned tracks. Can't win 'em all, Tiesto.

Actually, it was pretty funny if a bit overly sarcastic. I don't think Tiesto is as egocentrical as he is portrayed as in that article.

I also think I need to mention that some of the vocal tracks were kind of cheesy and not very creative. I think for originals he should stick to instruentals for the most part.

Spot on I'd say. Wink

Most of his vocal stuff only gets recognition through Remixing anyway. (But he does gets artists in who pow that Cheese into Dust! lol ....Oliver Klein, V-One, Fade, Antillas)
