Johan Gielen - Dreamchild / Flash

He's followed the trend of many a DJ by starting his own label and now he is starting to put his own name to some tracks.

'Dreamchild' and 'Flash' are his first offerings. Both offer a very chilled out breakdown with what I'd class as a techno edged bass line before and after each.

Anyone heard these new tracks?

I'll be interested to see what he accomplished without Sven Maes.
Are these tracks any good, Dave?

They aint too bad to be fair. They lack a bit of consistency.

'Flash' starst off with a nice bass line slowly feeding in bits of funky bass extras but then it breaks into what seems a very out of place minute of chill, very strange to describe and kills any tempo the track built up.

'Dreamchild' starts off with a very chilled introduction then breaks into some bass line action and has another break layter is the track. They just seem out of place in my opinion.

i must admit i am a big fan of one of the tracks but not the other, i think my fav is dreamchild (name of track not indicated on the vinyl itself) such an epic track full of fresh sounds, it offers something a little different to the norm and thats probably why i like it so much, flash is similar but not as good, a dreamchild wannabe u could say, overall gr8 stuff and il look forward to hearing more from this label in the future.
