I'd not recommend getting cheap gear but save up and go for the best kit as you wont be disapointed and its best to learn on the best available.
Still when your on a budget there is some decent kit out there. You can get a decent Numark mixer (DXM06) for around £200 and a decent twin CD deck (Numark CDN22) for just under £200.

awesome budget cd decks would be Pioneer CDJ-100s. I have two of em and they work and sound great. I also got them for around $150-200 each off of ebay.
Good luck.

I started out big.. but i knew id love it lol. So I got 2 technics mk2's and a pioneer mixer. I then bought a Denon cdj 5000
If you want a good cdj at a good price, id try the Numark series. They have nice jog wheeles, and at a AWESOME price. Much better than a pioneer cdj100, I hate those. the pitching/cueing sucks.
