In my opinion:

Aalto - Taurine (Super8 Remix)
Aven - All I Wanna Do (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Blue Amazon Vs. Darren Tate - The Other Love
DJ Tab - Radiate
DT8 Project - The Sun Is Shining (Down On Me) (Darren Tate Remix)
Matt Hardwick vs. Smith & Pledger - Connected (Original Mix)
Menno de Jong - Guanxi (Super8 Remix)
Mono - Rise (Smith & Pledger Mix)
Smith & Pledger - Believe (Original Mix)
Smith & Pledger - Forever (Vocal Mix)
Super8 - Alba
Super8 - Dawn

So what do You Think!!! Is it a good selection? which ones would you cast your vote

Fist off all it's anjunabeats!!!, and I thank God, that this label has given support to this excelent DJs/Producers, In my opinion Miika Eloranta, Paavo Siljamäki, Oliver Smith, Mark Pledger, Janne Mansnerus are very promising DJs/Porducres in the Trance/uplifting scene and it’s not my fault that they are all on this label. It’s just that I really like their sound, it’s just a matter of liking/disliking. And you are free to make sugestions of other musics!!!

Yeah and together with Armin van Buuren they are destroying the trance scene with releasing stuff that are all the same Razz Only good song you listed was Aven - All I wanna do Rolling Eyes

Agreed.

Another very good track on the list is The Other Love, but forget the Darren Tate's uninspiring update and head straight for Blue Amazon's infinitely better epic original of the track titled as No Other Love (12" Mix) from 1996.

You singled out the only bad song on the list, doesn't reflect kindly on your taste Wink

As for Anjunabeats and AVB destroying trance, that's the most rubbish i've heard all year. Trance as a whole has reached a very generic state, however this isn't the fault of either AVB or anyone at Anjunabeats. Everyone contributing to the scene is hardly providing anything radically new and innovative at the minute. Two tracks spring to mind which do stand out from the rest this year;

Endre - Kallokain
Solid Globe - Sahara

Though being different it's hardly a revolution in sound Rolling Eyes There has been no shortage of great tracks this year, but Trance is the type of genre that never strays to far from previous templates.

For those who think some of the musics I listed (from anjunabeats) are boring and sound the same, hear this samples:

I've only got P.O.S. - Amnesiac from Anjunabeats, not a label I really like to be honest. Some uplifting tunes this year though:

Active Sight - Out Of Our Lives
B4 - Onde
Palayana - Emotional Overload
Midway - Amazon
Lolo - Why
Empyreal Sun - Twisted Reality (Re:Locate Remix)

These are 'uplifting' in the sense that it follows that 1999 sound but I think some of these mixed with alot of the newer progressive/melodic trance makes an over-all better uplifting set. For example Perry O'Neil, Leama & Moor,Bart Van Wissen, Benz&MD and Ozgur Can.

Agreed

Whilst 'uplifting' tracks are really good, nonetheless sets mixed with more progressive artists as listed above provides greater variety and makes sets more interesting. There is no doubt that too much 'uplifting' can get on your tits.

I don't think that Above & Beyond are brilliant at writing original melodies and they do seem to be milking their sound a bit. A lot of the Anjunabeats material does sound similar too. But for the moment at least I do enjoy listening to the stuff they release.
