| Paul Oakenfold has been working on it for a few years now. It'll eventually break through.

I think hes talking about electronic music in general, in the US.
Yeah, techno has been cranking along lately. Any Max Walder fans out there?

I'm guessing your'e from some podunk little pointless town.
Go to the 40,000 plus massive events in Los Angeles, and tell me there's no Electronica.
Go to the all-weekend venues in San Francisco, and tell me nobody listens.
Hit world-famous clubs in New York, and tell me "techno" is dead.
Spend a day or two at one of the biggest festivals in the world in Miami, and talk about how nobody likes it.
Check out an underground party in Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, or San Diego, and see how much people love the music.
The music being unpopular in the US is a blessing in disguise...don't take it for granted.

| Fairfax County is right near Washinton, D.C. I know they have some good clubs in that area like Buzz Nation, but a good amount of those who go their, dont exactly go for the music. But I could be wrong. At my school of 4000, punk rock is dominant and very few listen to techno.

The amount of people that actually like Electronic music seems to grow exponentially when you get into a denser, urban area, especially around club strips. At my school, easily half the people there listened to Trance. It might not have been their favorite, or preferred music, but it was still very well-known.

| Yeah, but the US generally doesn't go for European imports, with the exception of cars.

Can you all STFU and stop bitching about what town you are from
I live in a city of 5.2 million but our techno scene is not as big as our house scene. FYI, Techno never died, it just went more underground and it has been that way for a long time. Most techno artists are not sellouts like AvB, take the UR (mad mike banks example), he lets the music speak for him, no interviews, no egos. That's how music should be made, UR got it right the first time, stfu with the popstar status, remain hidden and put out music that sells.
