Just pick something trendy... Names of elements is a good call..

Exotic locales is another safe bet... Think Panama, Bora Bora, etc etc.

Materials work well too... Fabric comes to mind. Very Happy

(those names are all taken, btw)

What sort of music would be played? Use something like Technik for a hard house club, while a deep-house sort of spot would require a name like Velvet. Names have big connotations. You'll want something short and easy to remember, too, for ease of publicity.

I would use house in the title of the club, sort of for a double meaning cause it's a house club.

Try using a short name since people have a harder time remembering a place with a long name (people tend to like short, simple names). Also try using a word or a as few words as possible that have a strong meaning to your targeted market, which I'm guessing are people in their 20s and 30s.
Thinking about names that are already in use can help. Remember that some names imply that you have a theme at your club. Ex: Tantra in miami is a restaurant that turns into a small club later, the word tantra is easy to remember because young people are enthralled by sexual references. It has a theme of aphrodisiacs inside and they have this sort of Hindu theme as well.
Don't pick a name that is easy to make fun off either. For example there is a club here called elements, and since last time I went there it sucked, we started to call it excrements. You know you don't want that kind of publicity for your club, so don't pick a word that is easy to mock (because even if your club is great, people may just kid around and call it something else, and that is bad publicity for your club).
