ATB anywone?

Anyone in here like ATB? Anyone thinks he deserves a better rank in the top 100?
I think that ATB is very underated for how good he is because he has got some great tunes. Like

i would never use underrated to describe atb.. i like atb but the new stuff kinda sucks..

CD02 on the two worlds album was the last good thing I heard from him... everything else of recent has been absolute bollocks! unfortunatly cause it was ATB who got me into trance etc... with 9pm and dont stop! Rolling Eyes

Not heard any of his recent work but 9PM is one of my best tune from his production list.

His two first albums were ok, then he slowly (but surely) slumped into producing dance music.
His album Dedicated reminds me some old dance stuff back in the 90's: Cappella (who was produced by the guys from Media records, including a guy called Mauro Picotto...).

I like the older stuff from him, especially 9 AM and a lot of his remix work is pretty interesting. But the new stuff, eeek! Not cool.
I don't think he's underated though.

Overated you mean. The guy makes nothing but crap and his sets are just weak. I fail to see why people think he has talent.

I agree that his old tunes are better than his new but his new CD - Addicted to music is pretty good. ATB was the first DJ i ever heard when I was growing up. I wouldn't be listening to any electronica music that I am today.

So I would have to say I owe alot to him.

i like atb, i always liked their stuff...i think their vocal songs are a lot better than any vocal out there... usually vocal songs are either plain shitty or are mixed to be good.... atb is one of very few that is pretty successful with original versions....

ATB is one of the most original DJs out there. I saw him in person mixing here in East EU and is great. I like him.

I'm with the consensus -- I like a fair handful of ATB songs but in general, his style is just kinda 'blah'..but there are definitely some classics. Hold You is an amazing song.

BTW, now that I think of it, who is the vocalist on Hold You?

I like some of ATB's singles -- ones like "9 PM (Till I Come)" I recognize as undisputed landmarks... woo-hoo pitch-bent guitar, here we come!

But his artist albums are not to my personal preference on the whole. My views on him are not as harsh as Brian Transeau's "diabolical" comments, but somewhat in that same camp.
