Post subject: New Techno/House compilation on IRON BOX MUSIC! |

V.A. - Framed & Formed 2 - IRON BOX MUSIC
Framed & Formed is back with a second edition featuring the best music to come out on IRON BOX to date! However, what was initially planned as a Double Pack compilation, has now turned into a DOUBLE RELEASE.
If you want to hear High Quality audio links, go here: www.ironboxmusic.com
Both vinyls are released separately as separate records. They will still carry the same Catalogue number (IBOX0010) but will be presented as VOL.1 and VOL.2. Because the sounds of each record are so diverse, we decided to split them up so people dont have to purchase both in order to have one or two tracks. However, if you do decide to get both, they come in a thick CARDBOARD sleeve, which can easily hold two vinyls, and you can decide to make it a DOUBLE PACK yourself.
Also, there is a difference between the two Volumes. Where Volume 1 presents newcomers, Volume 2 features 3 Iron Box Veterans and 1 techno producer thats been around for a little while.
NIMBUS
has 3 team members: Jon Shanks, Oli Beale & Pete Bannister. As this unit, they create some amazingly funky tech-house without submitting to the prominent trends of the UK tech-house scene. With rich sounds and synthy pads, they are very promising newcomers that have been making some noise around London. Better watch out!
KALLE-M
as you all know had his first release on IRON BOX in the beginning of 2004. If you have not been able to grasp his deepness, you will this time. Monolake may be deep, but he is not as funky and dirty as Kalle-M. His tune EKST is one of the deepest crowdpleasers ever to appear on vinyl. It pumps hard, but reaches deep into the souls of the people on the floor.
RASMUS HEDLUND
just like Kalle-M is from Finland, and the other half of the Live-PA techno group TECHNICAL DIRECTORS. However, with his solo project, he embraces old skool sounds and manages to remind us of the original deep techno, but still keeps an edge which allows this track to be of epic proportions. This is his first appearance on Vinyl!
LEE CURTISS
has previously appeared on Rhumba Music and this time decided to drop one dark and twisted tune towards Iron Box. This track will make a good Acid trip go bad when listened to long enough. Your mind WILL be his, and there's nothing you can do about it. Lee Curtiss also recently migrated to Detroit, and will use the towns techno aura to inspire even greater mind screws than this one.
GABRIEL ANANDA
is best known for his releases on Trapez and Karmarouge, and most recently on Treibstoff. With that same kind of deepness, just with a housier flavor he decides to introduce himself to Iron Box. Deep tech-house is the best definition, but don't worry, this track can still move a crowd if necessary.
BRIAN ANEURYSM
contributes what many consider "the best track he's made so far." It is called "Dis-Funktional" and carries itself with guitar stabs, a pretty guitar solo, and the most lusciously pretty pad ever heard from Brian Aneurysm. This is a wholly different approach to his Sub-static material, but yet it will grab you instantly.
MAETRIK
If you haven't heard that name, then you've not been paying attention to one of deep techno's best. And on this compilation, he decided to introduce a very innovative track. It does everything at once, without stumbling over itself. It has oldskool sounds, glitchy sounds, techno beat, electro beat, its deep, its pumpin, it has a vocal... all this combined can ruin a song, but in the hands of Maetrik an epic track that cannot be classified, yet it is familiar to everyone.
SOULTEK
was on the last Framed & Formed and decides to take it a notch deeper with "Somewhere in Detroit." It has the deep pads, the detroity beat, a synthy bassline, and all Soultek's flavor that we have come to know and love on past Iron Box releases.
WORLDWIDE RELEASE OF BOTH VOLUMES IS JULY 5, 2004!

I have. Very nice chilled house style going down on there. Bit too chilled for me, not enough energy or beat for my taste.

I can respect that. thanks for your honesty tho
btw, Mathew, the release you're talking about is "Dear Father" and will come out beginning September! If you're on this board frequently, you'll see my post about it in the following months! It seems you're on the mailinglist, so you'll find out about it early anyway
Hope that's of help!
