Remix or Not Remix that is the question???

Aha! it that time again. Another DJ Life & Death Presents an I-Vibes inquest!!! Surprised

(It's got nothing to do with the other I-Vibes lads and ladies, but hopefully they'll add to the joy of answering!)

I was wondering if, from your amazing knowledge guys and girls, you can come up with a song where the remix has been a work of art and made you think the person who did it must be a genius, to be able to get that from such a crappy original? Wink

My example with this is the mighty fine APOPTYGMA BERZERK - KATHYS SONG FERRY CORSTEN REMIX. Razz

(But did you hear the original URG!)

Anyway, some tracks like this:
Barcode Brothers - Dooh Dooh (Darude vs. JS16 Remix) - excellent remix (if a bit commerical) original is crap.
Digital Blonde - Mooga (Hemstock & Jennings Remix)
Erasure - Oh L'amour (Matt Darey Mix) - haven't heard the original, but NOTHING could beat this remix.

i like marco v - i feel you remixed by paul van dyk....also the original sounds good too but the remix sounds better...

I've heard some song which the orginal its absolutley pants but the remixes have been a damn sight better Vengaboys - Kiss - Airscape Mix really stands out for me.

Yeah, this all came about because of a friendly but heated discussion with a friend of mine about whether remixes are ever as good as the originals (With me saying that Remixing does bring out some better, him, wasting my time and saying. The original is always best.) I want to prove him wrong. Razz

The tune in question we was arguing about by the by was 4 Strings-Day Time (Me saying I like the original but Gizeh's Remix is the dogs!! Twisted Evil

Katana - Tribal Shock

Good track but it seems abit of a 'filler' or a track you'd play near the beginning, however the 'Perry O'Neil Remix' really erupts and is alot better than the original.

I do like the original, just think the remix is better ...
