What do you think of Ferry's newer style? Do you like it? Or do you think he should have stuck to melodic trance?

I have adapted to his newer style with the purchase of 'Right of Way' which I enjoy listening to, but if I'm honest I much prefer his uplifting trance sound. It's my chosen genre and it's what he does best without a shadow of a doubt. To his credit it's good that Ferry is branching out from what he knows, it shows that he is capable of producing more than one kind of music.

So to summarise: his new style takes a bit of getting used to but now I like it. He is still producing some good trance remixes and with talented artists like Airwave, Michael Woods and Above & Beyond churning them out I don't think there is any real need for him to go back to solely producing trance.

Laughing hehehe I was wondering how long it would be before this question popped up Sam! Laughing

I agree totally with Aquascape here on this! I think the world should never have to lose Ferry Corsten from the music industry, especially for me, System F!! That's his trance baby and I'm glad he's continuing to produce tunes for it.

Hey Aquascape matey, has anyone ever told you, you look like the Devil's ass bitch Saddam?? Wink (It's uncanny! BTW I get told I look like a Southpark character everyday on the street!!! Twisted Evil )

Hehe... my avatar does kinda suck at the minute but I was anxious to get something - it gives you a bit more of a personality on a forum and people are more likely to remember you. I'll change it when I find something cool Very Happy

System F definitely rocks, but can you believe I haven't got 'Together' yet? What kind of a Ferry fan am I! (It's at the top of my list)

I think both his styles he once did and now mainly terms out are both very good. I have to say I do prefer his epeic uplifting trance style more than the electro funk style he now does.

Hopefully he has not forgot his uplifting style and will sometime return to produce in that style.

I prefer Ferry's old uplifting sound instead of his new electro sound, but I do think he will release some more uplifting inspired tracks/remixes this year; "Everything Goes" (mixture of both styles) and his remix of "Synaesthesia 2004" (guess this one will be quite melodic/uplifting) proves that! I think he will defenately produce more tracks in his old style as well. Kyoto, for example. That was classic uplifting stuff if I've ever heard it.
I think this is more of a challenge for him, and to prove he is not stuck in one genre.

I'm glad he put that on 'Right of Way'. It just wouldn't have been right if there hadn't been a single melodic trance track.

I was unaware, probably forgot that he is going to do a remix of Synaesthesia. One to look out for.

Yeah, it showed that he wasn't abondoning his old style. Plus it was an awesome tune in its own right.
