try to master Reason 2.5 and other software like Acid Pro, Homestudio....
that would keep u busy for a while..
dance music has a simple formula
1 2 3 4
Kick Hat Clap
Don't forget percussions and synths (also vcoals)....it's very easy once u used to it...sequencing and arrangement is not the hard part...creating melody and sounds are the real deal!!!

ive learned reason 2.5 already
and i know how to make some good sound and all
even teh melodies i make i think theyre k but i seem to ahve a problem of any simple melodies for the beginning part.
like LASGO. in all of their songs they make in the begginin a simple melody,a catchy melody.
so, i dont know what can i do to make some simple melodies
cause when i try to make the simplest melody ever it sound like its a main one.
any suggestions?

High Van!
Your best bet here buddy is to maybe lower the volume! Believe me it can be that simple. But the best way to make build sequences is to make them there but not there.
What I mean is It has to be something that builds the song up nice in a loop, doesn't interfere with the drumloops and is almost unnoticable but is there. (Like Acid Lines!) In reason use one of the matrix machines on random and see what comes out. This way it sound just dancey if not memorable. Remember you just guiding people to the main sequence! That's what makes the song.
Or you could try getting hold of the main sequence and trying variables to it. (The same sequence but made with layer strings instead of just the keys, like that)
Hope that Helps!
Peace!

wel..it's simple to make simple melodies...
why u find it hard?
anyway just try to take a few notes from the main melody and than change 1 or 2 notes only but stay on keys...that's how i would do it
