.. is anyone else pi$$ed off at all these new 2003 / 2004 rmx's of happy hardcore tunes that are coming out at 140 bpm... ??

happy hardcore should stay at 170+ bpm.. it makes it what it is... if ppl start slowing it down.. then it becomes nothing more than commercial trance...

flip n fill, are obviously the biggest factor who recked "shooting star".. along with kelly llorena who fcuked "heart of gold"... and then as much as i like them, the FNP, are also starting to do it... they have recently rmx'd "turn up the music" by scott brown and "shining" by breeze and styles.. and both are w@nk.. purly cos they are sooo slow in comparism to the originals...

.. i just wish ppl would leave happy hardcore alone, unless they are willing to rmx it @ the correct speed Twisted Evil

Have to agree with you on this point. I haven't heard much HH but what I have I like and I think it should stay seperate from other forms of electronic music. And the whole point of HH is that it's crazy and fast and fun. New slower remixes are ruining the spirit of the genre.

The should stop it, gives the classic hardcore tracks a bad reputation.

But when you've got producers like Ultrabeat and Flip N' Fill around its not likely they are going to create anything new of their own.

I've never been too big of fan of HH but i'd have to admit that FNF really do piss me off that lack any originality. I remember hearing Force & Styles - Feild of Dreams then FNF does Feild of Dreams and sound exactly the same and Ultrabeat do annoy me aswell but not as much.

Maybe they're trying to make it more accessible, like some people tried with trance? lol I dunno.
BTW, Dod F&F ever do breakbeat stuff? I don't have the CD with me right now but a friend of mine gave me a weird one with a bunch of stuff and I remember their names on one of the tracks. Maybe it was a remix, I dunno.
Thanks for the info.
