hehe it's ok.... just we have to support an approach against mp3s that probably aren't posted with consent, but you know that anyway

We're against it for legal reasons, as it's an infringement of copyright and hurts the producers and labels. Several big labels have gone under lately, mp3-spreading being a major factor for that happening.
Then again we understand very well why mp3's are widely spread since most record companies don't have a good way of selling music at a reasonable price. The big record shops only/mostly sell top-selling commercial stuff and the local stores have no influence of what records they have in their collection as it's controlled by the large chain-owners.
This has lead to 2 very bad things: 1. CD's are way overpriced and 2. It's hard to get the records you want in your local store.
iTunes and similar services will hopefully be the saviour to avoid illegal spreading of music in the future. Still the greatest fans want to hold the cd/vinyl in their hands, but everyone else will be happy with an electronic copy only.
We do not support the way RIAA handles the piracy problem, but it is a fact that their actions have lead to a decrease of pirated material (but probably also to less cd-sales).

I should probably not have said major factor, but it was a part of the reason, along with many other reasons. Making a successful business isn't easy anyway....

I'd be game for hearing that Scott Brown mix, I heard a tune from him and it was great! Really surprised me. (Turn Up the Music).
