Someone has a fixation with Special D! hehe
I think Paul Van Dyk can do something for the scene. Actually, I think as long as the songs have lyrics instead of pure music people can kinda identify with it.

I think the cheese artist that make the cheesy trance will be the first to go mainstream. I realized that because darude- sandstorm, dj sammy - heaven, and ian van dahl - will I got massive airplay on various pop stations in the U.S.

im sorry to say this, but the day it gets big is the day i will stop listening to it....
u can imagine it now, lil 13 yr olds buying it Neutral

i hope that it never gets big EVER!!!
yes im greedy, but the way it is now is that there is a big gap btw cheese and real trance, maybe there wont be a huge gap in the future and the thought of that scares me to death

surely seeing artists like scooter, flip n fill and dj sammy (as sh*t as they are [exept sammy]) in the charts, is better than seing artists like 50 cent and the rest of them ?????

I don't think it will get big, and I personally don't hope so! Perhaps some euro-trance stuff, which sell quite good today...............but not real quality trance, like Above & Beyond, Matti Laamanen (Cosmicman), Airwave, Fire & Ice, Greg Murray, Christian Rusch, Pascal van Eijk (DJ Precision), Ron van den Beuken (though "Timeless" got released as a CD-single on Kontor Records), Bart van Wissen, Ralph Barendse (Ralphie B), Ronski Speed, Vincent de Moor etc. I can't see anyone of these producers being interviewed on TV as if they were "popstars"; that is (together with several single releases in many countires) the borderline between commercial and non-commercial trancemusic! But this is just my opinion! Smile

How's it going all...

just saw the post and had to reply...

Up until the last year or so I was well into my trance but i can barley stand the stuff anymore Mad ...it's just the same shit over and over bar maybe the odd gem that creeps up every now and then... Rolling Eyes

how and ever this commercial vocal crap that i hear day in day out is like a insult to the whole scene but on the other hand at least younger kids are getting into dance so i soppose its a bit of a stepping stone so to speak. Im not so sure if these kids will look for the more inteligent tracks/genres in the future or if its just a pop phase that they are going through.

one thing is for sure the commercial shit played on the radio/MTV/most clubs e.t.c Mad is driving most people away from the scene and into other styles of music....these people hav'nt heard real dance music Sad and the chances are they'll never give it another chance...

Twisted Evil Id like to see this kind of trance die a death but maybe make a come back in a few years with better intelligent production and a whole new sound minus the shite that is just killing it...

anyway just thought id post...

Jay

The abuse has not arrived, I;d dish some out but i used all my cheese to chuck on pasta I had for Tea Smile

On the other point, I;d prefer *beep* like DJ sammy in the charts to the even more *beep* 50cent bollocks littering it now.
