It depends from track to track.. In some tracks like "far from in love" it's really massive while in other tracks it really suxx..
Ofcourse it depends on who is singing aswell, like I'm not really into the male vocals..

It depends from track to track; some tracks sounds better without vocals, some with!

sometimes tracks without vocals can get boring.. so ive got to say i like them..
if theres a track say
artist - track name (vocal rmx)
artist - track name (instrumental rmx)
id "get" the vocal remix first everytime....

Depends for me, although usually I'll take nonvocal tracks. I'm really hypercritical of vocalists on electronic tracks for some reason. Then again, I try to listen to songs more than a few times, because otherwise I'll just go, that's stupid. lol For instance, PVD - Time of Our Lives really didn't work for me at first but then after a few spins I got used to the guy's voice and I like it now.
There is one thing I can't stand though, and that's wailing!!!!! Shrill wailing really does not work. smile

Vocals,
In some tunes they work really well, such as in Oceonlabs productions. In others they dont.
There are some producers that seem intent on destroying a very good track by putting pointless vocals that dont go with the tune on top. They know who they are

Normally hate vocals, and yet I still can't explain why I like Justine Suissa in "Clear Blue Water."

Quite naturally, it depends on the track. For tracks with more focus on their melody (trance), female vocals tend to fit better. However, if you're trying to fit vocals into something with more focus on the bassline (Prog, House), then male vocals tend to fit with the track better. And of course, if you're into D&B, there's nothing like a good MC

As said before it depends on the song sometimes it makes the song sound cheesy or it was better without them I remember hearing Ligaya with vocal and it was terrible.

Has anyone heard ATB's new club mix of "In Love with the DJ" and the vocals that have been added? I LOVE it!

Welcome to i:Vibes!
And also, is your sig from Lichtenfels - Sounds Like a Melody? I always wondered what the vocals from the song were - is that them? They're rather distorted in the track...

Well, how do random people get to be well-known? By singing in some tracks. Like, Jan Johnston was probably considered some random person for a while, until she got famous.

Vocals in songs make them a bit more 'original' and give them something a little more special. Songs are easer to remember by their vocals vs their melody. I prefer those sweet melodic trance tunes with beautiful (woman) vocals

I agree with that, its the voice that counts not the name.

i agree with most of you, sometimes vocals make the track seem too commercial, but for the most part, it depends on the tune and the singer. ANDAIN for instance is AMAZING!!! beautiful things and summer calling (i think... great tunes! she has such an amazing voice!!!
