have u guys ever hear any of the stuff by dj tatana....? if u didnt it's pretty good stuff especially "words" i think that song rocks....

Of course we've heard about her (at least I); in case you didn't know, she's from the Czech Republic. But then she moved to Switzerland. I think my favourite track by her would be "Yearning", but "Words" is of course a great track too. Best remix: The Mystery - Devotion (DJ Tatana Sirup Mix). I'm looking forward to hear the brand new remix made by Ron van den Beuken (under the "The Mystery" alias), of her track "Soul Cry"; it's going to break down some walls!

For sure she is ok, but in my opinion she is here in Switzerland a lot overrated as well as DJ as producer.

Just to mention some examples for people who do not live here in Switzerland (ZH): she is at every possible Swiss festival / trance event, does advertising for milk yogurts, when you speak of trance in Switzerland, she's the name on every lips.... and this most of all, just because she is a women - one of the few women to be in the dj business.

Sorry, but the Swiss scene is much more diversified as just one single dj/artist.

To come to here DJ skills: her sets are ok, but not fabulous, and mostly oriented mainstream trance here (now the question is wheter she is influencing the mainstream or not?).

To speak about her own productions, she has done some greats tracks (Words, Yearning) but none of them has reached for me a classic/cult status.
For me she is an absolute genius in music business managing (several recors reaching gold status in Switzerland, ...), but not until now for her musical skills.

There is for sure much more to expect from Tatana (musically speaken), so stay tuned Wink

of course most oyu have written is right!

but check out the energy set of her, we can compare it easily with pvd's set at energy which was also one of his best this year!

her "new" compilation wildlife is also very good, isnt it?

Heard a few productions by her. I've not had the pleasure of listening to any of her sets so no judgment on her mixing skills. Decent tunes, nice looking bird.

I'm not really into male vocals but I do like the song "Moments".. Especially the Flutlicht mix of it Exclamation

This topic caught my eye, so i thought i would reply even tho it´s old and all...

DJ Tatana is actually not a producer, at least not to the extent that she can make her songs all by herself. So she has producers helping her.

For example, she has for some records had DJ Energy as Coproducer. DJ Energy on the other hand has recently (starting in 2002 i believe) been produced by Marco "Reverb" Guardia (the main producer behind "Flutlicht" as well as "SHOKK").

I´m not sure if he produced "Words" or "Moments", but it seems likely he had his hand in them aswell. The Flutlicht mix of "Moments" was produced by him aswell, together with Daniel "DJ Natron" Heinzer.

He has also produced a couple of DJ Tatana remixes, which is very obvious if u compare the Tatana remix of Agent Dateline - Last Song, with some of flutlichts own songs from 2001, for example "Ahmea", or songs from the artist "Servant Of Light", another Reverb alias. The sound is very similar.

Since Reverb sadly decided to leave the music producing in late summer 2003, the last production he made, as far as i know, was DJ Spoke - Infinity (Tatana Remix), in the same style as the Flutlicht Mix of DJ Tatana - Moments.
