Post Post subject: New to the scene, recommendations needed! Reply with quote

Hi guys, Very Happy I'm a newcomer to this genre of music, having started only since the beginning of the year, starting with a few albeit more 'commerical'(?) tracks. I understand this is a rather diverse scene, and slowly, I'm starting to prefer tracks with little or no vocals.

Some of my favourite tracks are listed below, and I hope you guys can help me pinpoint a certain genre or style I like, as I don't know the difference between trance, techno, progressive, or house (i understand there can be different sub-genres, e.g. sexy house?). From my favs, I guess I'm a big fan of Airbase and that would be the definitive kind of music for me.

Favourites (title/ artist)
System F- Solstice Cool
Paul Van Dyk- Nothing but you, Tell me why (the riddle)
Gouryella (Tenshi, Liyaga) Surprised
Airbase (emotion, dreamer, kilimanjaro, unity of the earth) Cool
Labworks- Ibiza Sunrise Razz
Kaycee- Escape
Safri Duo- Baya Baya, Plaved alive, sambadagio Smile
PPK- Resurrection, Reload Wink
Brainbug- Nightmare (PVD mix)
Above and Beyond- Far from in love (Paul Oakenfold mix)
Soloar Stone- Solar Coaster (Airbase remix)

Tracks that sparked my interest:
Tukan- Light a rainbow
Web- Mornings
Robert Miles- Fable, Children
Milk Inc- in my eyes
Lovestern Galaktika Project- Move for freedom
Dee Dee- Forever
Oceanlab- Beautiful together

Can you guys please recommend me some tracks which will fit my profile above? Also if someone can explain to me the different genres that would be great. Thanks in advance!

Check out tracks by System F, Airwave and Armin van Buuren.

As for categories, I just put them in good trance and commercial trance.
