I'm looking for a really good melodic/uplifting CD compilation. Which is your favourite?

armin van buuren's 001,002,003,004 release are pretty uplifting. In trance we trust volume 4 is another one to.

DJ Tiesto - In Search Of Sunrise 001
Really melodic ... the other 2 get a more progressive slant, but i'd still call them melodic too - depends what ur into i guess ...

Gatecrasher Residents Transmission 01 (Disc 2) Mixed by: Matt Hardwick
That'z pretty melodic and uplifting too ... like that one! Smile

The best i've ever heard is Politics of Dancing by PvD...depends on your definition of uplifting though. Some other great ones are Summerbreeze by Tiesto, and anything in the ITWT series.

If you're looking for artist compilations, Ayla - Nirwana is definately my favorite. Vincent de Moor - Moor is another good one. ATB - Movin Melodies, and Two worlds are also excellent. Of course Global by PvD and 4 Strings - Believe are great.

Hard one.......It's old but Tranceformer 2000, the Lange disc is simply brilliant, not one bad song on the whole CD!! It has Seven Cites - Solar Stoner, I Believe - Lange, Universal Nation (Ferry Corsten mix)-Push, Liberation - Matt Darey, The Orange Theme - Cygnus X, 1999 - Binary Finary....etc....etc....

Anybody else? Doesn't have to be purely melodic... has Johan Gielen mixed any CDs?
I want to make a list of CDs I should buy, so that when I get cash, I know what to buy... I'd be great to have some more input!
I already want the Godskitchen: Direct CD, and the new Gatecrasher Resident Transmission.
Thanks!

I've bought most of those in the series and got them from:

www.101cd.com
www.amazon.co.uk
www.hmv.co.uk

All UK base tho, so you might want to check shipping costs first.

Another worth looking at:

www.dancegrooves.com and www.amazon.de
