Do you think producers and DJs in trance and other electronic genres are more chummy with each other than in more traditional genres, ie. punk, rock'n'roll, or pop?
It just seems like they must be, because most DJs are also producers, but they also gong other people's tunes and promote them, unlike other kinds of music. If you go to a Shania Twain concert, for example, than you will hear Shania Twain's music. If you go to a set by Matt Hardwick, you could hear many different artists with unique styles. Plus they are always remixing each other and working together in special collaborations.
So are trance producers more friendly with each other than in other kinds of music?

Could be...another reason i think is fame...if you think about it, most trance producers/DJ's are nowhere near as famous as most rap/rock stars that most people know. Since they arent so caught up in their fame, they just tend to be nicer people in general.

I'd say that your right, you only have to look at all the tracks and remixes artists have done to see that there is a lot more respect for the music in this genre. Aside from the more mainstream stuff, which is very cutthroat, bitchy and chart sales driven.
